MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - Russia has always been committed to its gas contracts with Europe and will continue to be so, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Russia has always fulfilled its contractual obligations in a reliable manner and intends to continue to do so. It is committed to its contractual obligations. The Ukrainian side has reported a certain force majeure situation. You and I have heard a statement from Gazprom, which said there had been no force majeure notices and explanations," Peskov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

Journalists asked Peskov whether Russia was planning to search for alternate routes to supply gas to Europe in the context of Ukraine's statement regarding the proposal that Gazprom channel the entire amount of gas transit through the Sudzha gas metering station.

"Hereafter, all information [should come] from Gazprom," Peskov said.

It was reported earlier that Ukraine accepted an application from Gazprom on Wednesday for the transit of 72 million cubic meters of gas exclusively through its Sudzha gas metering station. The information comes from the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine.

Gazprom applied for transiting 88.2 million cubic meters of gas through the Sudzha and Sokhranivka gas metering stations on Tuesday. Gas transit reached the maximum amount of the current month, 98.9 million cubic meters, on May 2.

Ukraine proposed that Gazprom channel all its gas transit through Sudzha, considering that the Ukrainian authorities no longer have full control of the pipeline infrastructure in the Sokhranivka sector (The Novopskov compressor station).

I’m betting that Nord 2 will go full steam ahead...and very soon. Simple economics.

“What kind of war is this??”

One that goes on and on until the American public demands an end to Congress being an arms supplier for the Deep State-Military Industrial Complex, a la Vietnam and Afghanistan.

Basically, Yes, and they always have.

The Natural Gas component of this war has always been about Ukraine insiders and Western Globalists reaping ALL, ... every single bit ... of the profit from Russian Natural Gas for themselves.

Think about this?

The European countries after making insignificant reductions is the usage of Russian oil/gas continue buying it at near twice the cost of before the Uke war. The European countries (less England) therefore are financing the Russian military operations.

The US is financing the Ukrainian government - military, administration, etc. - $40B bill passed yesterday after shelling out more than twice that since February 24th.

In other words, the Europeans are financing Russia and the US is financing Ukraine.

How is history going to record such stupidity!!!

Unfortunately, the US along with some of its western allies is trying to keep this war going at any cost, regardless of human life’s as well as destruction of properties, just so to get one up on Russia.

It’s crazy, isn’t it? There’s a war going on and the craven business interests can’t help chasing that last dollar, euro, or ruble.

If all the enablers wanna join up and fight, I’m fine with them being soldiers of fortune on their own dime. But America doesn’t have the money to waste, nor does it make any sense to see how fast they can make it to Defcon 1.
Got more than enough on our own plate.

Germany is currently run by women and children, so I wouldn't bet on it.

The countries in the EU are paying the fees to go through the Ukraine pipe lines....and I believe they’re pretty hefty.

You know you suck when a Russian communist is better at being a more reliable gas supplier of gas than a American communist.

My natural gas ETF was around $14 in the beginning of February. It’s $26 today. I don’t say this to brag, but if you are just watching this stuff and not thinking of how it’s going to impact your finances or way of life…you are not doing your job as a provider for your family.

When our monthly gas heating bill goes up 100% in September are you going to be ready for it?

How are you hedging for your food bill for this summer?

Being able to discern natural gas profiteering schemes in EU/Western Europe makes me MORE likely to be able to evaluate how this will affect my family, and MORE likely to properly provide for my family.

Worry about your own.
