If I was dictator tomorrow every last congressman NOT on this list would be deported and exiled to the Ukraine.

Ukraine is a mess and has been since gaining independence in 1990. https://everipedia.org/wiki/lang_en/ukraine

Our pols have helped make and keep it a mess. Two revolutions there were practice for what we’re going through. One was called the Orange Revolution. I think our color revolution should be called The Purple Revolution since all the #RESIST people(like hillary) wore purple right after Trump won 2016.

What is relevant is the survival of Ukraine and the defeat of Russia.

Why?

I am hoping that both sides wipe each other out on the battlefield, and it has nothing to do with us.

To paraphrase von Bismarck - "The Ukraine isn't worth the life of one American soldier or the spending of one American dollar."

Why do they have these votes in the middle of the night? Afraid of the light of day might been shown on these billions of your tax dollars.

I know many people have contacted their representatives to let them know they are unhappy with those who voted for this. Most people are worried about inflation. I don’t know how many reps are listening to us.

ALL Republicans that voted for this need to go in November...there is NO excuse.

Same here. My rep has only been in for a couple of terms but slid right into the swamp quite quickly. There’s a libertarian running as repub that I’ll be voting for. Probably doesn’t stand a chance but oh well.

Exactly...you’ll never see Ukraine sending US $40 billion to protect OUR border.

Some Republican congressman was just on FNC saying we need to send “special advisors” into Ukraine to help defeat the Russians. And to setup a “humanitarian corridor” to get help to Odessa.

Just broke $30 trillion this year and is rushing towards $31 trillion

and then there's Unfunded Liabilities. Might as well loot while the looting's good

...What you perceive as history is no longer relevant. What is relevant is the survival of Ukraine and the defeat of Russia.

It's comments like these that make me wonder what's happening to this site of late, or has covid cause that much damage to Americans' ability of critical thinking.

P.S. to bert: This is not to insult you personally, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person noticing a troubling pattern on FR since this whole Ukraine mess started.

Why?

Because the Deep State needed more of our hard-earned tax dollars to launder so they could turn around and use it to squash the criticism of conservative patriotic Americans.

You don’t get to tell me what is relevant.

$40 billion for Ukraine but we told $3.5 billion was too much for a border wall.

That comment that bert just sent you has me ROTFLMAO...am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy in his comment?

Sure would be nice if they broke out what Ukraine is getting for our $40 billion. The lack of accountability in DC is out of control.

Heck, why not make it $100 billion?
