WSJ: Russia Preparing for Global Conflict With US, West

Russia is modifying its invasion of Ukraine into a broader war against the West, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Kremlin leaders and state media have been warning Russians that the war with Ukraine could become a global war.

The U.S. and some allies, increasingly seeing an opportunity to contain Russia’s possible imperial ambitions, have increased military assistance to Ukraine. In response, Moscow has been preparing the Russian population for a potential larger war.

The Kremlin has been using the May 9th celebrations, which commemorate the Allied victory over Nazi Germany, to draw parallels between World War II and the invasion of Ukraine.

The building of a narrative of Russia as the victim of the West and the need to defend the country is gaining momentum, according to the Journal.

The U.S. and some allies, increasingly seeing an opportunity to contain Russia’s possible imperial ambitions

WSJ is oblivious to the crazy irony of this statement.

Russia draws a line on Ukraine, which used to be part of Russian, and then Soviet territory for centuries. Meanwhile the USA deep state, 4800 miles away from Washington DC, is mucking around in Ukraine with coups, expanding NATO from 12 to 30 countries, weapons sales, etc...

And its the Russians with "imperial ambitions." LOL.

Never in my wildest dreams was I wear that so many Freepers support Putin.

They should be thrown off the site and out of the country.

Trump elaborated on his comments later in the interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, saying, “This is a genocide that’s taking place.”

Xi Jinping once called Vladimir Putin his ‘bosom buddy’

I hear that Biden’s new Ministry of Truth is looking for a few good employees who think like you do.

Pelosi, Schiff, and the rest of the Lilliputians in that photo unfortunately represent the U.S., which means that their ill-advised visit to Ukraine really puts whatever reputation the U.S. still has left seriously on the line. Sending increasing levels of weaponry is bad enough, but THIS stunt puts us in the position of having to back Ukraine to the hilt, or else lose all credibility on the world stage.

These morons are trying everything they can to get us into a direct conflict with Russia. Every decision they make is designed to weaken, and in this case maybe actually destroy, America.

Yeah, you’re right.
We should instead support a puppet of Soros who is getting paid off by our corrupt government to antagonize Russia.
Putin is not my enemy. The warmongering clowns in DC are.

I don’t think America is either justified or wise to be intervening in this war.

Even if it is justified, we have the most inept president in our history who literally gave billions of dollars of military gear to the Taliban, which are specially designated global terrorists (SDGT) connected with the 9/11 attacks on American soil. His predecessor gave billions of dollars in cash to our sworn enemy, Iran, who seeks nuclear weapons and death to America.

This war could easily escalate and result in a massive nuclear attack on US soil.

Is that what the war-advocates on this forum want? Are you truly prepared for the horrors of nuclear war?

You are siding with the wrong people.

Thanks for the laugh.

We Americans who don’t want a war with Russia should be kicked out of our country?

Ukraine can use you in its fight against Russia. Best wishes to you in your brave efforts.

By all means, catch the next flight to Poland and join the volunteers streaming into Ukraine.

Russia’s ambitions are right off the Florida coast. Cuba is still there, an outpost for Russia, and it is still a prison island. And Venezuela, a more recent outpost of Russia. And Bolivia, and Russia-supported FARC... and Russia has probably got a new Viktor Bout mucking around in Africa as before. And Russia still buys North Korean slave labor to cut timber in the far east...slave, because the laborers aren’t the ones who receive the checks, the regime does.

Never in my wildest dreams was I wear that so many Freepers support Putin. They should be thrown off the site and out of the country.

And I was surprised to find so many FReepers and so-called "conservatives" regurgitating deep-state, MSM propaganda - calling opposition "traitors" ala Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi, and supporting progressive, globohomo empire around the world.

The MSM only has to say "war" and these dogs start barking immediately.

How many people here supported making Joe Biden the Democrat nomineee, supported not worrying about TikTok - said Trump should drop it, said Biden has dementia and don’t worry about him, yada, yada.

So now because Biden is in and because of what Biden is doing with the Russian oil, because of what he did with TikTok and others and communist China, the signals he is sending, Joe Biden is going to get us into a war.

So now we can throw off all you Freepers who supported Biden and TikTok too?

“Never in my wildest dreams was I wear that so many Freepers support Putin.”

Non-interventionism is NOT “supporting Putin”. America is NOT the world police.

Further, this war will be used as a pretext for more centralization of power and control by Washington over US citizens. We have too much of that already.

None of them ever pay attention to the fact that Russia and it’s allies aren’t destination 1, 2, or 3 for refugees, but rather, sources of refugees. People flee from it, rather than pour into it.

There are no good options here. If Putin goes down, we get worldwide fascism through the globalists. Putin just wants his territory back, but the globalists want to murder 7 billion people.
