Democrat senators on Friday will weigh whether or not Elon Musk should testify about how he intends to reform Twitter.

The senators’ deliberation comes after the Biden administration on Wednesday created a “Disinformation Governance Board” just two days after Musk’s inked the deal with Twitter. It appears Democrats are gearing up for a two-pronged attack on any changes Musk makes to the platform.

They really do hate the idea that someone may disagree with their narrative. Lefties are terribly insecure.

While I agree with you, it sure would be great to see Elon go toe to toe with our brain dead congress critters. He would eat them alive in a first amendment debate.

He would have to be prepared for their usual bag of tricks in hearings. Lefties love to use procedural stunts or frame a long harangue as a question.

And it would be great if Elon had all the dirt on what has been going on inside twitter. Imagine, in recorded congressional testimony, all the dirt laid out for all to see. I do not think our congress critters have thought this one through.

Sorry guys, in a few weeks Twitter will be a private company. No 10k, no 142, etc.

I personally don’t understand how Congress has the ability to compel testimony. It seems like they have passed laws that make you bow the knee when it is demanded.

That said, Elon is beholden to the government because of SpaceX. He can’t just tell them to piss off.

Yea Im sure the bag of tricks would be plentiful. But if well prepared, he could bring up whatever twitter was doing to shadow ban or otherwise assist in the questioners winning of their race. Well congressman, you say these things, but can you explain to the public how it is ok that twitter shadow banned your opponent and worked to help shape the narritive in your favor?

Something akin to that might be epic.

What gives them the right to demand anything from a private citizen? If they want to argue that Twitter has enough public influence to be subject to their oversight, why wouldn’t that oversight include protection of it’s users constitutional rights? It’s a public entity or it’s not.
