Biden to Visit Portland, Seattle to Tout Administration's Progress

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Joe Biden is making his first trip to the Pacific Northwest since taking office on Thursday to tout progress he has made on his agenda, particularly on infrastructure, ahead of the November midterm elections.

Biden's visits to the cities of Portland and Seattle - part of a growing travel schedule ahead of the elections - will also see him participate in a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee.

He will visit Portland's airport on Thursday to talk about investing in a runway that can withstand earthquakes and will spend Thursday night and Friday in Seattle, where he will observe Earth Day and talk about his administration's plans to tame inflation, the White House has said.

Why should my tax dollars pay for Portland's runway? Can't they take all the money they saved on defunding the police and the extra tax revenue from illegals living in their sanctuary city to pay for their own runways? Talked to a pilot, yesterday who is based in Seattle and I asked her if she wore a mask on her flight to DFW and she said no, and she said it was so nice and liberating, and she stated about 75% of the passengers were not wearing masks.

Then the 4:00 news came on and the lead story was about the DOJ was appealing the mask mandate, and she said, how can Biden dig a deeper hole.

In fact, the last time I was in Seattle the wife and myself were outside this restaurant and I could smell something and my wife could even smell it and I looked around and saw the younger folks smoking and passing around some marijuana joint.
