Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday that Russia's unprovoked war with Ukraine is "meant to put an end" to US-led global domination and the expansion of NATO, according to a report.
"Our special military operation is meant to put an end to the unabashed expansion [of NATO] and the unabashed drive towards full domination by the US and its Western subjects on the world stage," Lavrov told the state-owned television news channel Rossiya 24, according to a translation from Russian state-run media outlet RT.

Rather stupid question
Of course not
Don’t bother. DEI will end US world domination for you.
“...meant to put an end’ to US world domination, NATO expansion...”
Huhhhh...?? Where has HE been for 2 years?
We have slow Joe as President. We can’t ‘dominate’ anything?
And, as is so often the case, is having the opposite effect. By being aggressors they’re encouraging NATO expansion. And by losing they’re showing the US is still dominant.
They just proved the need for Ukraine to find military allies that can be counted on. The question is, if NATO countries are those allies.
So, the goals of Putin that you support are “Our special military operation is meant to put an end to the unabashed expansion [of NATO] and the unabashed drive towards full domination by the US and its Western subjects on the world stage”???
Ok, so what would make anyone think Russia is a better alternative? Or even China?
This is a fundamental facet of Russian culture - has been for centuries.

Stalin failed. Putin wants to finish the job.
Depends on which Slavs? Poles would be fine. ;)
NATO/Globalists response to that is: "its time Africans and Arabs dominated Europe."
There’s a non-trivial possibility Lavrov will die in prison at the Hague like his buddy Milosevic.
Supposedly they hate gays and atheists, so of course we should support them invading another nation. Add some mumbling about ‘Soros’ and the admiration that Strong Leaders often get from conservatives and a general hatred of Europe.
The Russians are more stable.
The US is a flake. Every few years our policies and strategy changes as you get a new White House and even all the senior bureaucrats switch out. Driven heavily by a media, there is “no telling” what the US will do. But I assure you this, if you’re Assad, you’re probably happy you’re sleeping with the Russians, and not the US like the leaders in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam... (were - all past tense).
If you’re Brazil, and a big boy, but you don’t get to play at the big boy table where much smaller euro nations sit, that pisses you off. They make decisions there that impact you, and you have no voice. And the Russians are willing to let you sit at the table: BRICS
If you’re India and you have always done deals with Russia, and are more tied to them than the US. They too might choose Russia over the US.
There are several reasons.
That’s a map of EU expansion, not NATO.
I guess you should spend more time worrying about the Southern border and not comment on continents you don’t understand.
Countries that would rather fight and die than live under Russian Domination?
They ASK to join NATO... to get away from Russia!
Like the drunk neighbor’s wife banging on your door when he’s chasing her with a knife.
“Open the door and put her out or I’ll NUKE YOUR HOUSE”
Great map. Thank you.
The entire issue revolves around the Minsk agreement, something the average american has not bothered to understand, or even be aware of. The US govt. pushed other countries to abandon it.
At the end of the day the Minsk agreement will be the law of the land and there is nothing the US could or should do to stop it.
Russia, a gas station with nukes, has no hope of toppling the USA. The USA is doing that quite nicely itself.
