Boston's Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox and one of the oldest baseball parks in the country, will become the first carbon neutral Major League Baseball facility, the team said on Wednesday.
The Red Sox, in partnership with climate finance company Aspiration, will use a portion of ticket proceeds to purchase carbon offsets. Fans will not pay a surcharge, the team said.

If the fans aren't paying for it, the taxpayers are. (Although likely both will). The Red Sox organization, the players, nor the scam "climate finance company" Aspiration will end up paying.
I never understand this. You are still producing pollution or carbon output, but, you can buy carbon offsets. And buying carbon credits supposedly makes you carbon neutral.
I don’t see how this works, because you are still producing the offending green house gases and pollution.
So why is it ok to produce the same pollution as before, as long as you say you bought a carbon credit?
And what do the sellers of carbon credits do with your money?
In 2021 I found out I’m of woke enough for Major League Baseball. 2024 hasn’t improved that status.
Carbon offsets. There’s the key to the whole scam.

Carbon offsets are perhaps the most meaningless NFT's. Basically a corporation like Tesla gets awarded carbon credits for being a good little woke corporation forging make-believe swords against the make-believe global warming dragon. Then other companies either willingly or by regulation buy those carbon offsets to pretend they've helped slay the make-believe dragon that no liberal politician will ever count as slayed anyway because he needs a bogeyman to protect us from.
All while telling us carbon dioxide is a pollutant and we need lots and lots and lots more trees. (Tip to Dim voters both alive and dead: trees need carbon dioxide.)

That’s the money quote right there. Purchasing “carbon offsets” is no different than giving barbarians gold to keep them away from your city. It works until it doesn’t.
Oh you understand completely. It’s a huge money scam thanks to Man-Bear-Pig. If people would take the time to understand what’s going on, they would realize these people really don’t care about the environment. There is only one green they care about.
