Op-Ed: Unmonitored drop boxes, other questions continue to cloud election integrity – even in Johnson County, Kansas
The Heartlander ^ | 3.16.2022 | Michael Ryan

Most of the media want you to believe that lingering questions about election integrity are the stuff of lies, kooks and fringe conspiracy theories.

***

Kooks? I can’t vouch for someone I’ve never met or talked with, but I’ve spoken with conservative firebrand Dinesh D’Souza and he seems pretty darn rational to me. And we’ll see if he has the goods in his upcoming film and book “2000 Mules,” in which he purports to have actual surveillance footage of rampant ballot harvesting in the 2020 election.

Just one of the 2,000 “mules” D’Souza says his team traced via cell phone geo-tracking allegedly made 53 different trips to 20 drop boxes. Some alleged mules took cell phone selfies, apparently to get paid for dropping off the ballots, D’Souza claims in his movie trailer. He calls it all “a coordinated ring of illegal vote harvesting in all the key states where the election was decided.”

Kansas wasn’t one of them. And at this point I’ve seen no evidence of fraud. But some even in Johnson County are calling attention to what they feel are lax if not negligent procedures – particularly with drop boxes – that could be exploited by the unscrupulous.

I’ve interviewed two of the concerned citizens raising the questions. And again, I can tell you with certainty – without vouching for their claims – that they’re the furthest thing from crackpots. They’re actually quite intelligent, well-employed and well-spoken.

ESPECIALLY in Johnson County, Kansas.

"We'll note that the Kansas CD3 area of Johnson County is about 20 miles by 24 miles - perfect for a crew of busy ballot fraud bees to drive around stuffing mail ballot drop boxes..."

If there will be drop boxes. Put a lid, counter, sensor, and a camera on them. Must have a hid installed instead of a slot. Lid which will only hold 1 voting envelope. Stuff two or more, sound alarm. Sprayed parament red dye covering the area. Sensor to activate the camera. Each time the lid is opened. Have positive proving evidence of voted tramping. It will also show multiple photos of who every is stuffing the box.

Put a lid, counter, sensor, and a camera on them.

From the article:

Thad Snider, one of the concerned citizens investigating all this, said although the boxes were surveilled by cameras 24/7, he was denied access to the footage by the county due to supposed, but unspecified, security concerns over releasing it. And he’s been told that the surveillance video at the libraries has been automatically recorded over anyway.

***

When I asked if anyone actually viewed the surveillance video of the drop boxes, county Election Commissioner Fred Sherman responded, “So, we have 24/7 camera coverage on all of our drop boxes, yes.”

In case you didn’t notice, that wasn’t my question. So I asked again: Did anyone actually look at the footage? “I can’t get into those details,” he said. I asked why not. “Well, it’s 24-hour camera coverage on the drop boxes,” came the answer. Huh?

I asked a third time: Did anyone ever watch the surveillance video? “For what purpose?” asked Sherman. Well, I asked, why have the cameras in the first place? “In case there is any kind of incident or criminal activity,” he said. Bingo.

Since they are not official US mailboxes, it would be a shame if someone poured something sticky or oily inside them. Wouldn’t it?

Only IF whatever sticky/oily happened to spontaneously combust in highly graphic proportions.

JoCo was red historically but Trump barely beat Clinton in 2016. In 2020 Biden “beat” Trump 53.1% to 44.8%. I call BS in the 2020 election but we’ve been getting lots of transplants. They’re like cockroaches, you can’t get rid of them and their number grows. I lived in in Prairie Village all my life (except 20 years in Los Angeles) and it’s all blue now. It’s such a shame.

It still is hard to believe that there are so many in this country that are convinced that Slo-Joe won the 2020 election fairly. Yes, the final numbers of votes for Xiden was around 81mm. But were each of those votes presented by a living, breathing USA citizen casting their one legal vote?

Not a chance in Hades ...

The demographics of Johnson County have gotten much worse over the past decade, assuming that Census data can be trusted, but it’s still possible that the sudden hard lurch to the left which has occurred mainly since 2016 was just the reaction of all the Trump-hating “Karens” which dominate the electorate in this county and in other similar suburban areas throughout the land.

The county *may* swing back towards the center once the GOP inevitably goes back to nominating liberal pantywaists for all offices, instead of Alpha males. Of course the hatred of the Karens isn’t directed ONLY at Trump, it’s at any conservative candidate that Republicans dare to nominate (e.g. Kris Kobach and Tim Shallenberger as examples from the recent past), but Johnson County ran hysterically to the left more than ever starting in 2016 and continuing through at least 2020.

I’m hoping the disaster of this administration will wake the people up but I’m skeptical. After seeing sign after sign of the “In this household we believe.....”, “Love has no place here”...etc. after Trump won, then all the Biden signs in last election, I not hopeful.
