If the vaporization or radiation, or nuke winter doesn’t kill you, the survivors or famine will.

There is no radiation blocking pill.

Well maybe they’ll live long enough to die of thirst, hunger, exposure, or get hit by falling debris. Our education system sucks, clear through college. WALOS

I have some pills. I’ve restocked every couple of years.
But I have a large AfR base 8 miles from my house. And the Pratt and Whitney factory is 10 miles the other way.
I think Potassium pills won’t do me a lot of good.

Seaweed also contains lots of iodine, so expect looting of sushi shops and Asian groceries right after the radioactive dust settles.

If Putin nukes a few European cities - (but doesn’t start an all out nuclear war) the pills will help. Radiation will travel around the world for a time.

Anyone subject to this line of thinking also fall into the category of failing to understand the concept of ‘saving one bullet’.

Well, if the pills are big enough, you can plug up your problem, and not need toilet paper.

People can chew those pills like Tums, but if there is a widespread exchange of nuclear bombs, the pills might prolong life but eventually everyone will perish. As they say “Too much too soon”.

IIRC, potassium iodate is more effective than potassium iodide.
