Here’s the problem. Bond mutual funds should be providing ballast to the stock market investments. But they have so screwed up the financial markets that bond funds are less attractive than having cash in a money market or CD earning 0.5% or less.

If you high yields, try OXLC AND UTG, dividend yields of 12 and 6 % respectively. UTG was steady today even with the broad down sharply.

Didn’t this happen in 2007-09 already? Yes, I remember. Everybody was doomed in 2008. Everybody's 401k was going to zero and all of us would be greeters at Wal-Mart until we were 93 years old.

Mines tanking too. But my self directed IRA is doing better than my “safe” 401k stocks. Oil, gold and Chelsea is raising my boat.

I am next to a PF director. In 2018 this PF lost 25%.
2020-21_was worse.
I recommended a bitcoin investment in 2020 to him.
The fund director didn’t want to invest in bitcoin.
Bitcoin was +70% in 2021.
This PF director is so conservative financially he is literally stupid.
