He must be one of the few that consumes propaganda from CNN and MSNBC. Our conversation morphed several times and each time it exposed how completely opposite we are on issues. We used to be able to talk about sports so he tried to do that. He asked if I watched the Olympics. I said, "you mean the genocide games." He was completely unaware of the human rights abuses by the ChiComs, so I had to explain that to him. I have the distinct impression he is one of the 21% of people that will never change their minds about Democrats and their commie agenda.
Democrats definitely live in a different world. I should also say a lot of Republicans do too.

I guess it’s a good thing it’s a distant rel
You might appreciate this. After one of the big NorCal fires a few years back, we were without power for several days. One of my leftist neighbors slowed her car to ask me: did I know where she could get dry ice so as to preserve the food in her freezer?
Thinking she would know I was kidding her, I replied, “Are you sure about dry ice? It’s CO2, you know, and there’s that whole global warming problem.” Her face turned somber and she replied that, yes, buying dry ice was indeed a bad idea.
