Skepticism as a New Way of Life
The Epoch Times ^ | February 25, 2022 | Joakim Book

Posted on 02/26/2022 5:57:09 AM PST by Twotone

The 2020–2022 pandemic split parties and ideologues, separated friend from friend and family members from family members. Neighbors were dangerous, and strangers even more so: the invisible enemy stalking our lands overturned every other concern in life: The conflicts it spurred replaced bonds of affection with fear and hatred.

More than ever, we need calm and level-headed thinkers, honest and willing to admit past errors, with eyes wide open for the corruption of industry or government itself. In other words, we need as little politics as humanly possible. As I wrote in a previous piece: we need “people without a clear ideological position, and who can thus appeal to audiences across the political spectrum.”

Two sane figures recently attempted the impossible: to speak calmly to the other side, trying earnestly to explain what happened—Konstantin Kisin, of the popular show Triggernometry, and Columbia sociology professor Musa al-Gharbi.

Kisin begins his monologue with “You’re struggling to understand why some people are vaccine hesitant. Let me help you.”

He uses no study result, no appeal to the biological effect of the drug that has become the main symbol of the Covid conflict; no death rates or R0; no projection of spread or what number of lives lockdowns may or may not have saved. Instead Kisin, for 13 spellbinding minutes, walks us through the many good reasons that people had—before and during Covid—to distrust the elites in politics, business, and media. If this is a question of (dis)trusting the establishment (including “the” Science), you must ask what the establishment did to no longer deserve that trust.

The tale begins years ago, with the Brexit vote and with the election of Donald Trump.

When you are lied to constantly from all directions and have to fact check a traffic light, what do you expect?

“Skepticism as a New Way of Life”

A blatant stolen election by Marxist in the USA will make us all skeptics. Start with that.

As a result of the hysteria over two years of the Fauci Flu, although people in the medical industry should be valued for their abilities, their words — what they say; what they recommend; what they command -— have been become, in essence, meaningless. That is, a thoughtful person must not accept at face value anything our medical organizations — and many medical “professionals” say. As with politicians, anything medical professionals now say must be evaluated in the context of their motivations ... primarily, their often not-so-hidden political motivations. This is a very sad outcome indeed.

Biden even bragged about it beforehand … the Left surrender monkeys in the RNC cheered or denied. Hypocrites every one.

One way to avoid being a skeptic is to blindly, unquestioningly
believe absurd, obvious bald-faced lies.

But that then raises the question (in my mind at least) -
Does doing so constitute a 'Sin'?
'Intellectual dishonesty', of course.
But is it an actual Sin?

Eh? Opinions anyone?

And so many positive things were started as of that skepticism. school curriculums are being scrutinized. Parents getting involved, school boards kicked out. In PA the lower courts seem to be thwarting some of the voting illegalities. Bank runs in Canada, Democrats undressing and look how fast the mandates seem to be falling as we get closer to elections. It will be hard to put the genie back in the bottle. And Omicron which i think was God’s gift to say that he is in control not the commie democrat party. WE also know that China was weaponizing flu viruses and we were paying for it.

Skepticism as a new way of life is the mentality of a vegetable.
Man can grasp reality and achieve knowledge of reality. This requires observation of reality and process of reason.

Jimmy Carter’s malaise on steroids. It is not just Biden, Covid, or war. American class warfare fueled by identity politiccs has robbed the nation of hope for the future. Without commonality, can any nation survive? Or was that part of the globalist plan all along

“In other words, we need as little politics as humanly possible.”

This guy obviously doesn’t know what politics is.

Politics is about protecting and promoting your perceived self interests that you cannot do on your own. So you form alliances with others with similar self interests. That’s what alliances, clubs... and political parties are.

Perceived self interest at all levels, and that includes politics, TRUMPS EVERYTHING.

That's a textbook definition of politics and maybe what politics used to be.

Politics is now about lies and deceit, stripping away inalienable rights, while telling people it's inevitable and for their own good. Politics is the machine where your lessors are promoted into positions of power to make decisions for you despite you not wanting neither the individual to represent you nor the decisions they make for you.

The Uniparty offers corrupt candidates in order to maintain the charade of elections and freedom. Kamala Harris is sitting as vice president despite irrefutable evidence that she's not eligible; she's not a natural born citizen since her parents were not U.S. citizens when she was born.

-Court judges refuse to correct clear violations of citizens' rights to keep and bear arms.
-Court judges violated Californians' rights when Californians' voted to refuse funding for illegal alien invaders.
-Court judges wrote law in violation of the Constitution when they legalized abortion in the United States despite The People not wanting it.
-The list goes on.

Same here. That goes for some folks on the right as well, like Tucker Carlson asking me to rat my neighbors out to the government if they choose to mask their kids.
