Protests in Russia continued during the second day of Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine, with prominent Russians joining in major cities across the country.
Russian authorities arrested over 1,700 individuals Thursday as citizens took to the streets of Moscow, St. Petersburg and other major cities to denounce the invasion of Ukraine and demand an end to hostilities, according to OVD Info, an independent organization monitoring political persecutions.

Sell their trucks, trample them with horses, seize their bank accounts!....Huh? Its not Canada?
Sure....because all those Ukrainians have Russian relatives. In other words, its truly a civil war.
Anyone notice the Hollywood celebretards in the USA aren’t protesting?
I subscribe to several Russian Vloggers on YouTube, and they are getting a lot of abuse, people unsubscribing, as if they had anything to do with it. Really pisses me off.
A brave move today from Russian Tennis player, Andrey Rublev, world #5. After his win, in Dubai, he wrote a message on the camera lens, “NO WAR”. (Rublev is a devout Orthodox Christian.)
OTOH - I wonder if Putin has a LID cellar to go to.
Calling a Lidsky...

Not likely to happen. Why? The media approves. Unlike freedom from vaccine mandate, which was scorned by the media.
Media has become our master.
I suppose they'd be the Russian version of the Film Actors Guild.
I am starting to think that the little bed-wetters in the “press” can’t see anything past the staged theatrics of a “protest”. It’s the limit of their own ability to take action, which is to sit behind a microphone and run their mouths.
The world of the “real” is taking place right now. Focus on that, and what you need to do, and not the theatrics of the class clowns.
Yeah. Really.
Its complex - they haven't quite figured out how Trump is involved, and when people referred to "Dumbass" in Ukraine, they got upset because they felt they were being insulted.
Although his invasion force now in Ukraine is comprised of the best of Russia's troops, Putin's "special operation" is behind schedule, with military and civilian resistance increasing, and Russian forces incurring greater casualties than expected.
Moving in the less well-trained and less well-equipped bulk of the Russian forces would help in more fully subduing and occupying Ukraine, but with the unappealing consequences of offering more targets, greater casualties, and stirring even greater Western opposition. And no political or diplomatic resolution is in sight.
Worst of all, the Russian public is not rallying behind Putin and the attack on Ukraine. As he is no doubt aware, there is no retirement plan for dictators, and few of them die peacefully in bed of natural causes. And the record of history is that regimes based on one man rule are at risk of getting overthrown when they suffer military reverses.
“Sell their trucks, trample them with horses, seize their bank accounts!....Huh? Its not Canada?”
Notice that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has totally wiped off the media map the Canadian Truckers protest? It is no more. Trudeau lucked out and the Media moves on with great rapidity to the next novel object to arise. A real war is ever more interesting to the MSM than a mere piddly attempt by Canadian truckers to save their democracy from a petty dictator as versus a full blown one, Putin. Very soon it will be on to the next topic, the Chinese takeover of Taiwan. And the beat goes on.
Putin has cracked down on Russians calling for peace, with authorities warning protestors they could face ‘treason’ charges.
Oh it pisses you off that people are picking on Russians?
Poor babies. They need to remove their fearless leader, or the abuse will only get worse.
I’ll save my sympathy for the Ukrainians.
