It seemed surprisingly boring to me. It self categorizes with Doctor Zhivago. Is it all like the pilot episode or does it eventually gain content?
I like the show. I have not seen the new season. The writing in this article is too painful to read
I so enjoy not watching that show.
But he also loves Jonah Goldberg and hates Trump, so…….
Billions started a new season and it went woke with the new owner firing investors if they are into politically incorrect investments.
The singer is Sutton Foster; never heard of her before.
The first season was very good. But then I’m a big fan of jewish style humor. Second season, ... eh, it had plenty of good moments like Maisel’s manager lurking around the Catskills pretending to be employed by carrying a tool.
The new season -tonight will be the third episode- so far is landing somewhere between the first two seasons.
To me, the show is more like what a Norman Rockwell painting would look like if he were Jewish. Much of the gags are about the generational difference between Maisel and her ex-husband, and their parents, set in New York City as they each try to break away from their parents' lifestyle patterns.
The scene in the second episode where she is explaining her situation to the rest of the family while seated in separate cars on the Coney Island giant Ferris wheel is quite comical.

Seems like a lot to pin on a TV show.
Never watched it. Is it as good a Reacher?
i enjoy the show but Midge is such a crappy mom.
In an early episode she danced (or something) with bare boobs. Unacceptable on the public airwaves.
She has a nice rack, that’s for sure. I keep watching just in case she decides to whip them out again. ;-)
Looks like “Mad Men” for women.
I watched one episode when it came on and gave up, just wasn’t interesting to me.
Shows like that as they go on lose whatever they had to begin with and fade.
We watched all seasons, when they originally aired.
As a Joan Rivers fan, I enjoyed the similarities. The (first few season’s) writing, the sets and the costumes were all fantastic....with the exception of the gay storyline added in (Shy Baldwin).
Fast forward to this latest season...and.....meh. It’s as if the writers took a hiatus and sent someone to fill in. It’s getting lukewarm reviews, on Amazon, I noticed.
We watched episode 3, last night (they released it, early)....it was slightly better than the first two.
The burlesque scenes are another example of the writers trying to hard, and seemed purposeless, as did a couple of the other added storylines. And, of course they bring back the Lenny Bruce character. George Castanza even has a bit part, in this latest episode.
I’m thinking Midge could play Joel’s club, to much bigger reviews :-)
Yawn….
She (writer) did this while schtick way better with Gilmore Girls nearly 20 years ago
