At this point, the best option would be to buy gift cards with your crypto. That way you can remain anonymous. So Amazon, Whole Foods, other places that sell gift cards online. There are getting to be more and more of them.

But the exchanges are not protected. So you do need to keep you bitcoin in a local wallet on your PC or phone or flash drive. I’m not up on bitcoin but this would be news. It sounds scary but at some point any bank or financial institution will just take you money with a piece of paper that looks like it comes from a government agency.

Why would anyone KNOW their password? Now they can know where to find where the password is at, but only a fool would give it to the authorities. If they are going to beat you, they won’t stop when you give up your money. May as well burn it down, than let them get it.

Or will they take the entire balance of the account? Which account. If the name is a common name, that might be a problem.
