Spice company learns the hard way about the wisdom of going woke

Well, it turns out things haven't gone so good for wokester company, Penzey's Spices, which ran a 'Republicans are racist' campaign for .. I am not sure what purpose, it wasn't business.

According to Fox News:

A Wisconsin-based spice company that made headlines earlier this month when its CEO sent an email to customers accusing Republicans of racism is now asking people to buy gift cards after hemorrhaging tens of thousands of customers.

Earlier this month, Penzeys Spices CEO Bill Penzey renamed the extended Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend to be "Republicans are racist weekend" in a newsletter to customers.

Spices are a huge ripoff. That gay looking Penzey punk takes a nickel worth of spice and sells it for $10. No exaggeration. The place to buy spice is at a hippie food store which sells in bulk—i.e. "Food Co-Op", or at an Indian market, or the dollar store. Everything else is outrageous with a 1000% or more markup.

Here in Virginia, we can get spices at a discount chain called Big Lots. Big containers and low prices.

This is in reference to high-end, pick of the crop, purity guaranteed spices not the seconds and culls commonly found in such stores. His brother, I believe, runs a high-end spice business also and is not woke, does not send out rabid leftist newsletters to his customers or was not a few years back.

Better yet, go to any Indian grocery store. You can get quart-sized bags of most common, and some very unusual, spices for just a few bucks.
