Put Nash Bridges or Steve Keller (Michael Douglas, “The Streets Of San Francisco”) on this.
“Closer than ever” while probably true, is not congruous with doubling the reward.
Usually it’s “Police are looking for leads and have doubled the reward”
This case reminds me of the Green River Serial Murder. hey interviewed him early on and suspected it was him but could not develop enough evidence at that time. It was DNA and paint chips that finally did him in.
Also he basically chose prostititues because they were hard to trace and most wouldn’t be noticed missing. Same with gay murders choosing gay areas to pick their victims. Both are hang outs for sex.
When do the people of San Fran stand up on their hind legs and scream "Enough"?
Wait - I can answer my own question. Never.
Could a person who has HIV and still has unsafe sex with others be a “serial” killer, or serial disease vector? Just doesn’t use knife or club to destroy others.
The crimes happened 46-47 years ago. Almost certainly, the perpetrator is dead.
the cops get so giddy when they solve a case 45 yrs old....in reality, they should be ashamed.
