Cotton: Impeachment Inquiry over Border Possible, Biden Defying Court on Remain in Mexico, Releasing Migrants While Masking Kids
Breitbart ^ | 25 Jan 2022 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 01/26/2022 3:07:16 PM PST by conservative98

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) reacted to a video of the release of single adult migrants by stating that while Democrats “are still trying to shut down schools or insisting that kindergartners wear masks,” “tax dollars are supporting single, grown men crossing this border and being shipped wherever they want to go,” and that DHS data from December shows that the Biden administration is defying court orders to re-implement the Remain in Mexico policy.

Cotton said, “Yeah, Laura, it’s criminally negligent. You have Democrats across the country who are still trying to shut down schools or insisting that kindergartners wear masks, sending them home if they don’t. Meanwhile, your tax dollars are supporting single, grown men crossing this border and being shipped wherever they want to go, as we just saw in that video. That’s a far cry from what the federal courts have ordered the Biden administration to do, which is to re-implement President Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy.”

Ingraham then asked, “If they keep doing what they do, which is not enforce the law, America is essentially changed in profound ways going forward, maybe forever. So, do you discount the possibility that the House could actually bring up a serious perhaps impeachment inquiry just on this issue of the border alone? Is that out of the realm of possibility?”

Cotton answered, “No, Laura, I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility. Because of all of the abuses of the Biden administration, I think what the Department of Homeland Security has done to undermine American sovereignty, to open our borders, to undercut wages and jobs for American workers is probably the most egregious and they’re open about it.”

.
He’s not being honest, when the GOP had the House and Senate - and Biden was on Video admitting to Felonies with Ukraine, they refused to issue a single subpoena or have a hearing.

This is wink-nod, stuff.

They love them some Biden Spending Programs.

It would require the support of 67 Senators.

We would be lucky to get 30.

I am jaded, admittedly.

Am I wrong to think, what did Cotton do about Hunter and James Biden?

Biden has committed crimes, and admitted to it.

By all means, impeach him! I think it starts in the House.

Expect increasingly harsh rhetoric until November which will screech to a halt instantaneously if rethuglicans actually win a majority in order to promote bipartisanship

You keep making this ridiculous assertion that we’re going to replace all of these Republicans by your litmus test.

Apparently you have no idea how ludicrous your suggestion is.

But for the sake of argument let’s assume that it were possible. Perhaps you should provide a list of names of potential candidates with proper credentials and funding to take them on and primary them.

Otherwise it’s not only ludicrous but a bunch of hot air.

If Trump decides to support other candidates in the primaries and recommends to get rid of Paul Rand and Tom Cotton then maybe those candidates have a chance. But he’s not going to do that because he has sense enough to know to pick his battles. And Donald Trump has billions of dollars and millions of followers. No one on this forum has those things and should quit with the pipe dreams.

And quite frankly Paul Rand and Tom Cotton are both among our better legislators. So, despite some disagreements, I think Trump wouldn’t target them anyway, even if he could. Why should we? It’s complete nonsense.

“Tom Cotton did not object to the steal”

Yeah. That made me want to throw in the towel. He can redeem himself if he will hold this administration’s feet to the fire for illegally opening our borders.

“You keep making this ridiculous assertion that we’re going to replace all of these Republicans by your litmus test.”

I made no such assertion.

Please try to stay grounded.
