A host of Michigan state and Flint city officials implicated in the Flint water crisis will escape racketeering charges after the state's attorney general disbanded the prosecution team working on the case.

Michigan's attorney general Dana Nessel in 2018 fired the top prosecutors and investigators who were part of the three-year long investigation under the previous attorney general Bill Schuette.

The team had already filed criminal charges against 15 Michigan state and Flint city officials, including four officials charged with financial fraud thought to be behind the public health scandal in which up to 100,000 people were poisoned with tainted water.

Anyone who is dumb enough to drink brown water.....well...learn to think will ya. I learned from when I was a little girl to let the water run a bit...and still do that to this day.

That’s the AG Gov. Whitmer told to immediately erase all the Nov.2020 voting machines so they “will be ready if needed for a future election.” She knew lawyers were readying subpoenas for the records which were now erased. All gone. Trump must have lost in Michigan./S

Michigan vies with Rhode Island for the title of Most Corrupt State. Glad I fled when I could finally retire.

I’d be curious what percentage of those were GOP.

This may be the payoff for helping throw the election.

It’s my understanding that there was nothing wrong with the water in Flint, other than the state having a Republican governor at the time. The Flint water commission switched suppliers to save money, in a move approved by Obama’s EPA and Michigan environmental monitors. The new water was slightly more acidic than the old. The more acidic water would leach lead out pipes in homes with lead pipes, as many older homes do. Any problem with lead contamination could be averted by running the water for a minute before drinking it, or using bottled water for drinking. The children in Flint would have been in the lowest decile for lead in their bloodstream among the U.S. population in 1960, when lead was a gasoline additive.

There was no criminal act, expect the attempt at criminalizing the unintended consequences of an administrative decision for political gain.

How do Democrats stay out of prison? Just get the Soros-funded Attorney General or District attorney to drop the case!
