Here Are the 10 Most Fiscally Conservative Republicans in the U.S. Senate
Based Politics ^ | Jan 17 | Brad Polumbo

GOP politicians talk a big game about fiscal conservatism and balancing the budget—especially with a $29.8-trillion-and-counting national debt and runaway inflation.

But which elected Republicans actually practice what they preach?

To find out, we looked at SpendingTracker.org’s rankings for how much spending each Senate Republican voted for during the previous session of Congress. (Data for the ongoing session is, by nature, incomplete). We looked at the data for all the spending they voted for, not just bills that ultimately were passed, because SpendingTracker says this gives a “fuller picture of intentions versus results.”

Here are the 10 most fiscally-conservative Republicans in the Senate, and how much total federal spending they voted for last session.

1) Rand Paul (Kentucky): $510.7 billion

2 Mike Lee (Utah): $1.06 trillion

3) Mitt Romney (Utah): $2.2 trillion

4) Marsha Blackburn (Tennessee): $2.46 trillion

5) Ron Johnson (Wisconsin): $2.49 trillion

6) Rick Scott (Florida): $2.5 trillion

7) John Thune (South Dakota): $2.53 trillion

8) Ted Cruz (Texas): $2.53 trillion

9) Mike Enzi (Wyoming): $2.6 trillion

10) Mike Rounds (South Dakota): $2.84 trillion

Don’t see your home state senator or your favorite GOP voice on here?

Well, actions speak a lot louder than words.

Mr. RomneyCARE who put IDs on children to sell them,
and who STIFFED Pres. Trump using LIES,
makes #3.

THAT is not conservative.

The one thing Romney has always seemed to believe in is the debt and fiscal management. If you watched the Romney documentary that is the one issue he seemed to have actual passion on.

On almost every issue he is to the left of the party, but on spending he has consistently taken positions to the right of Trump.

Sure, Mr. Romneycare believes in any of that.

Trump was not the best on spending, but he would not have won if he had been.

Even now, many people have a hard time tying inflation to government deficits and spending.

Here is a list of Senators who objected to the election fraud.

Cruz, R-Texas
Hawley, R-Mo.
Hyde-Smith, R-Miss
Kennedy, R-Lou
Lummis, R-Wyo
Marshall, R-Kan
Tuberville, R-Ala
Scott, R-Fla

I notice Rand Paul is not on it.

That means Rand Paul is not a legitimate Senator.

He helped Biden steal the election.

Tommy Tuberville, Alabama.

Hasn’t had much time to shine is all. Next year he’ll be joined by Mo Brookes.

“Trump was not the best on spending, but he would not have won if he had been.”

Yep, Trump more than us internet posters knows that politics is the art of the possible. If you want working class voters, slashing medicare and social security will not endear you.

Yep! The "low" trillions of wasted taxpayer money was all these heroes could stand...

Those are the ones who the Founding Fathers would be pleased with...
Snicker...

The spending is not what will kill America, the unchecked illegal alien inundation is and none of these people have done anything about that.

He helped Biden steal the election.

Lefist and "mainstream media" sites attack Paul for not accepting Biden's supposed victory 100%, so I wonder if the truth about Paul's position is really that simple to define.

A lot of people have responsibility for the election fiasco, including Donald Trump himself. Handing out blame is going to be complicated.

Spending in the trillions does not make a person “fiscally conservative “ in my book.

Piss up someone else’s leg

I am not talking SS or Medicare. I am talking discressionary spending, $2,000 checks, military spending, foreign aid, and infrastructure spending. The deficit was not a priority for Trump.
