House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump and those who “showed up” at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 were “domestic enemies.”
Clyburn said, “We just got around the filibuster to raise the debt limit. Why? Because we don’t want to put the full faith and credit of the United States at risk.”

This is kinda funny. My wife wanted to go. I told her there was no way I was going without a gun. And they wouldn’t allow me there with a gun. So we didn’t go. I am quite comfortable sitting this chit out in my relatively free country, Kentucky.
Clyburn, and so many like him, is why no leading Democrat can bring unity, neither to Democrats nor the country.

Between 200,000 and 250,000 people came to Washington to protest on January 6. Over 99% peacefully protested and went home. Are they domestic terrorists?
Less than 1000 entered the Capitol. More than half of those walked in peacefully, and many were waved in by Capital police and employees. They milled around, took photos and left.
Some unquantified number, less than 500, were disruptive and/or destructive. It is possible many of them were professional agitators hired to create a riot or were government agents doing the same. We don’t know and government, including the FBI, will not tell us.
Curious? Does anyone really believe our Government has earned or deserves “full faith” of We the People??
He shied away from the “terrorist” word I guess the truth is slowly dawning that this was an FBI set-up operation and sooner or later we’ll find out the political allies of the Justice Department and FBI who were in the set-up.
William Barr resigned before Christmas as Attorney General of the United States. He got out of Washington DC while the gettin was good.

Ratcheting up the rhetoric, defining political dissent as being “enemies foreign and domestic”. That’s rationalizing using the military against them (that phrase in in the enlistment oath). It’s either recklessly irresponsible or calculatedly nefarious (I lean towards the latter) but either way I consider it inflammatory and dangerous.
