People who are not fully vaccinated can only leave home for three reasons: medical treatment including COVID testing or vaccination; for essential goods and services such as groceries; and to provide care to a vulnerable family member or person who cannot support themselves.
Unvaccinated people cannot travel more than 30 kiloneters fron their home when leaving for one of the three reasons, unless you are going to hospital.
Unlike previous lockdown rules, unvaccinated people will not be able to leave home to go to work or for exercise, Mr. Gunner said.
Police Commissioner Jamie Chalker said the lockout prevented anybody who was not a resident or essential worker fron entering an excluded low-vaccination community.
Any resident or essential worker who leaves an excluded community and would like to return home must provide a negative RAT result.
A vaccine pass system will be introduced after the lockout is lifted.
Commissioner Chalker said authorities would be conducting audits of public places and venues which would require a vaccine pass upon entry today and over the weekend...

Everyone I know that got Delta or Omicron in the past 2 weeks was fully vaccinated.
At Christmas I was told about fully vaccinated people hospitalized and on ventilators.

I tested positive for covid (home test) on Dec 25th (had a fever) and my daughter got sick one day later. Both of us were vaxxed but not boosted. HOWEVER her second shot was in late Sept so it sure didn’t last that long. . .my first and only shot (J&J) was in March so yes it’s worn off.
I’m feeling great now; she still has a cough but it seems to be improving now. We never reported our covid to the county as I sure don’t need to give them any reason to close her school down.
They still haven’t figured out that it’s the vaccinated who are spreading the virus, have they? None are so blind as those who refuse to see.
We need an entry permit system to every Red State where all people seeking entry have to show their "negative RAT result." That would avoid spreading the RAT diseases from Blue States to our free Red States.
That is my experience also. Everyone I know who has covid was vaxxed. My uncle almost died from the booster. He said they almost lost him twice.
No doubt he’ll be along in a few to tell us that even though every word of the story is accurate, it’s all just Chicom propaganda.
There’s plenty of problematic stuff going on in Australia.
But there’s also a lot of exaggeration.
This report looks pretty accurate from what I know, but it’s affecting a fairly small area and a reasonably small number of people. It is, in my view, a panicked overreaction but there are some legitimate reasons why the NT government is particularly cautious - it doesn’t have the hospital facilities to handle even a tiny number of cases (there’s only about 20 ICU beds in the entire Northern Territory - last I heard, their official position was that if they had even 8 COVID cases requiring ICU treatment, their system would collapse).
No. Not everything is propaganda and I’ve never said it is.
Some of what is being reported about Australia is true.
A hell of a lot of it though is exaggerated and misleading.
Unfortunately a lot of people can’t seem to tell the difference.

Aboriginal people are a large segment of NT population and Gunner can’t convince more of them to get vaxxed I guess.
So he does this to coerce those numbers up.

We are talking about the public health needs of 246,500 people of a tiny slice of the worlds population spread across a landmass of 548,100 mi² . Two square miles per person in the middle of Sothern hemisphere summer, now is the time to reopen with the instructions of get out, absorb some sunlight and enjoy life and catch you some Omicron.
The tiny slice of world has had a really poor record of treating native peoples personal freedoms into the 2010s. That same leadership is making bad choices a dozen years later isnt suprising.

A renaming of the “lockdown” but whether you call it a “lockout” or “lockdown” it’s about discriminating against unvaccinated people and coercing them to get the shots.
