A severe winter storm could dump up to 18 inches of snow across the eastern US Monday as some half a million homes are already without power in the southeast — but New York will largely be spared, forecasters said Monday.
The heaviest snowfall — likely between 6 and 10 inches — is expected in parts of northern Virginia and Maryland, as well as in Delaware and southern New Jersey, AccuWeather meteorologist Nicole LoBiondo told The Post.

Got a deal with my neighbor.
He and his kids do my shoveling and I pay them with home made deserts.

Well I can attest that driving on I95 in Maryland and Virginia was a pain today. But it was not impossible nor half as bad as I thought it would be.
I’ll do your shoveling for that. If you can wait for me to drive from PA.
We have winter here in Texas, just for never more than a few days at a time.
I know, I know. I'm just reacting to dumb headlines.
This is the snow we used to get in Indiana this time of year, but is now constantly going either north or south of us. Very depressing for us who long for snow but are getting 30-40 degree temps in Indiana.
7 inches here just Northeast of DC. It was pretty, but with the temps it will probably be a mess for morning rush hour.
I guess some would say he’s a lucky man.
Soon to be a very troubled one...
I’ve also got a Scottish shortbread recipe with Irish butter to die for.
I let you know if I need you. LOL!
It is Monday, 9:25:33 PM. Snow come and gone.
Its the end of the world as we know it.
We got 14” in Prince William County, Virginia
It missed us here in NH completely.
Oh shucks……..
Not.
I went to the Gatlinburg Space Needle webcam at 5AM.
It was pretty intense. Low Pressure looked deep near Athens, GA.
Driving on 495 in Maryland and Virginia tomorrow. Plan on leaving a half hour early.
Little snow in Rochester area... 1 inch. Didn’t even bother to get the shovel out of tool shed yet...
But here, it is now -13 degrees and dropping*
Major snow dumps.
As a kid I loved it.
My dad, not so much!
