New York City is only allowing a limited number of spectators to watch the ball drop in Times Square this New Year’s Eve, but they will be required to show proof of vaccination as well as wear a mask.

This year’s New Year’s Eve in Times Square will be a bit unconventional, as was last year’s. This year, the city is capping the number of in-person spectators to 15,000 as opposed to the tens of thousands of individuals who typically attend the annual event.

Streets are marked with 15,000 spots, all 6 feet apart. Once those are full a 600 foot perimeter is established to keep the remaining 200,000 away from the party, but squashed together nearby.

Miami and Vegas has usurped NYC as the top destinations for New Year's anyway.

And the incoming Mayor is going to keep all of De Blasio's policies.

“But I used to like watching Rockin New Year’s Eve before and after Dick Clark passed.”

Yeah, me too! But as a kid I enjoyed watching Guy Lombardo and his orchestra from the Waldorf Astoria! (PS I’m 64, not quite geezer status! lol)

Thanks for the tip. My favorite Christmas one was Jack Frost. I thought someone slipped LSD into my drink, it was that bizarre!
