Toomey: There Was Only ‘One Democrat’ in Senate Willing to Oppose Spending Trillions with Massive Inflation
Breitbart ^ | 12/25/2021 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 12/25/2021 9:59:34 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) said that the Build Back Better reconciliation bill was “Bernie Sanders’ bill” and that there was only one Democrat who was willing to oppose spending trillions of dollars with high inflation.

Toomey stated, “I mean, I give Joe a lot of credit, the amount of abuse and flack he has taken from some of his colleagues, from the left wing all over America. It’s really pretty shocking when you think about it, here’s one Democrat in the United States Senate, one Democrat, who thinks maybe it’s not a good idea to turn America into a socialist welfare state. Maybe we should just pause here, especially at a time when we have a record-high amount of debt, inflation at [a] 40-year high, do we really want to spend many trillions more? Just, let’s have a pause, and they blow him up for that.”

There were NINETEEN GOP Senators willing to fund Porkulus II.
And 13 GOP House members.

Dan Sullivan (R-AK) Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) Mike Crapo (R-ID) Roy Blunt (R-MO) Richard Burr (R-NC) Deb Fischer (R-NE) Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Rob Portman (R-OH) Thom Tillis (R-NC) Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) Jim Risch (R-ID) Chuck Grassley (R-IA) Bill Cassidy (R-LA) Kevin Cramer (R-ND) Roger Wicker (R-MS) Mitch McConnell (R-KY) John Hoeven (R-ND) Susan Collins (R-ME) Mitt Romney (R-UT)

Plus these Assistant Democrats in the House: Van Drew, Katko, Bacon, YoungAK, Upton, Kinzinger, SmithNJ, Fitzpatrick, Reed, Gabarino, GonzalezOH, McKinley.

The Democrats needed GOP help and they got it.

We have to stop re-electing Assistant Democrats.

I am always thoroughly and disgustingly shocked to see BOTH of our Idaho Senators on that Assistant Democrat list. We are the only state with BOTH Republican Senators helping the Dems pass that execrable bill.

Democrats have always been about party first, last, always.
No defections allowed.

But, Republicans want their “colleagues” to think well of them, first, last, always.
Mavericks!

It is a paradox that the allegedly most conservative states elect the worst Assistant Democrats.

that’s not even true, toomey. Sinema another dem had also made noise about killing that bill. and anyway, you can’t really tell until they take the actual vote, which haven’t seen yet.

That is why there are Assistant Democrats but no assistant Republicans.

Toomey, this POS helped Biden steal the election, now he makes noises like he is unhappy with all the damage he helped create. Go To Hell RINO Toomey.

Because MORE spending = more pork barrel projects for Idaho.

Just follow the money.

Why surprised? Only main job of elected politicians is to bring more bacon to their state which gets them re-elected. Very few are concerned about long term fate of ordinary Americans. Trump was an exception.

Sinema was still in negotiations with the Dims to line her pockets. She’s probably pissed at Joe for killing the deal.

More pork barrel is ALWAYS the excuse to grow government.

Lots of R Senators who voted NO would have gotten lots of pork money, too. But they stood on principle and voted NO. Our guys are weak spined cowards who put bringing home the bacon ahead of saving the nation.

They are quislings.

Good riddance to Toomey. He lied about being a conservative challenging Spector. He’s a Trump hater and pro-China.
