If you’re drinking any water in Florida, you’re already taking your chances

My daughters well water smelled worse than a sewage plant until they spent a bunch of money on a filtration system

Still wouldn’t drink it, but at least you could brush your teeth without gagging

I had a great aunt and family who lived in Valparaiso, Indiana near Gary. I remember staying there ONCE as a kid and I can still gag on the memory of the highly sulfurous water. The stench was unbelievable in the shower.

Sulfur water— found in natural artesian Florida and Georgia water. Agree, smells bad, but tests... clean most times. The water derives from the dissolved minerals that contain sulfate, naturally in ground water- minerals like gypsum and epsomite.

Aside from the smell a bigger concern would be the excess magnesium or sodium sulfate that dissolves in the water which though one is drinking water in normal amounts, causes dehydration.
