I had a great aunt and family who lived in Valparaiso, Indiana near Gary. I remember staying there ONCE as a kid and I can still gag on the memory of the highly sulfurous water. The stench was unbelievable in the shower.
You should try the alkali water in the Rocky Mountains states. We had to carry water from a city faucet back in 1956. The well water was so bad it was only used for washing and bathing.
I accidentally swallowed some at the Bottomless Lakes swimming pool back then. Thought I was gonna die! (or puke my guts out)
