Of the 3,137 Omicron cases that have now been reported in the UK, 2,953 cases have been reported in England, 159 have been reported in Scotland, 15 in Wales and 10 in Northern Ireland.
The UK has reported 1,239 additional confirmed cases of the Omicron variant - the highest daily rise and nearly double the previous high recorded on Saturday.
That takes the total numbers of cases of the variant to 3,137 in the UK.
Of those, 1,196 new cases were reported across England with 2,953 overall recorded.
In Scotland, another 38 cases were reported on Sunday, taking the total there to 159.
There were no additional cases reported in Wales, which currently has 15 total infections of the variant.
But five more cases were reported in Northern Ireland, which now has 10 in total.
On Saturday, 633 new cases of the variant were reported across the UK, with a total of 1,898

Pretty unusual since they could not isolate and detect Delta without sequencing lab work.

I too have tried to figure out the death count from Omicron and its difficult but best I can tell, excluding the usual panic porn suspects, it certainly appears to be much lower or milder as doctors in South Africa have stated.

Omicron has proven to be very mild so far. I certainly hope and expect that to continue but time will tell. This fast spreading mild variant is clearly the best way to pick up natural immunity.

I read something about Omicron having a marker specific to it that shows up during testing. I’ve been watching variants for a long time, Colorado follows about 10, including several Beta variants. Delta is virtually all cases at this point. Most of the variants have not spread much.
The key is the how strong or weak O is. We will know a lot more in about a week.

One day there will be a new variant that can’t be detected, has no symptoms and is resistant to vaccines. The only cure will be socialism.
Clearly, the ‘vaccines’ are complete failures as vaccines. That is beyond debate. The only question that remains is do they provide any prophylactic benefit limiting severity? More and more, the answer to that question seems to be no. And given the myriad of well documented side effects, I would say that in most cases, the risk to benefit ratio indicates most people under 70 should stay well clear of these drugs.

To: Grampa DaveIf I can't sleep, there's no reason you should be able to sleep...I'll try my bestest most gooder English:When we are thoroughly sick and tired of the muzzle theater and have, as a people, pretty much resolved we won't be tricked again, that is the time for China to unleash a very deadly virus that has initially mild symptoms after a long infectious period, followed by the the deadly phase.
The powers that be have cried wolf to an imaginary wolf loudly enough and long enough that when we stop listening, the real wolf can easily spread far and wide unimpeded.
Expect China to be a black hole of data. Their vaccinated population will ride out the storm largely unaffected, and they will then have a greater Lebensraum, a whole largely unpopulated planet all their own...
