The initial investigation shows the buggy was traveling north on County Highway E with 10 people aboard, when a vehicle also traveling northbound approached the buggy from behind and struck it at "highway speeds."...

Geesh, now in WI. We had one last month in MD, poor Amish man killed. Sounded like a kid on a joy ride.

The are real problems coming over the crest of a hill at 55mph and there in front of you is a buggy moving at 7mph.
Good Luck -—— There is no way you’ll stop!

For a minute I suspected this was Brooks out on $1000 bail again, and just doing what comes natural to him. There’s no black Amish that I’m aware of, so don’t get it twisted when they get targeted by the most protected class.

"That is up around Medford?"

The accident was about 5-miles west of Little Black which is about 5-miles straight south of Medford, on SR 13.
Find Abbotsford on 29, then Curtiss to the west, now go straight north on E, about 10 miles.

City driver in the country. Warnings are probably posted.

“Highway speed”, it was probably 35 until city folks complained about it being so slow and got it changed to 55 so that it doesn’t cramp their fast lifestyle.

Seen this happen many times in open range cow country.
