What to Make of Terry McAuliffe’s Disgraceful Display in Virginia
American Thinker ^ | October 31, 2021 | Rajan Laad

The Virginia gubernatorial race was a contest that Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe was expected to cruise to victory in, and with considerable ease. His rival Republican Glenn Youngkin wasn’t even supposed to be a factor.

But as an ancient Hindu text states ‘“When doom is inevitable, the person’s intellect works against his or her best interest.”

After a series of major gaffes, McAuliffe is now trailing behind Youngkin in a recent Fox News Poll among likely voters in Virginia. Youngkin’s lead is now eight points which is outside the poll’s margin of sampling error.

Among the reasons for this fall is McAuliffe’s preposterous statement “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

Also, a Youngkin advertisement that featured a mother who successfully waged a legal battle to remove a violent and sexually explicit novel from the school curriculum was branded as a "racist dog whistle." by McAuliffe. That didn't go over too well with voters, either.

Overall, McAuliffe is beginning to look desperate and consequently lackluster.

Things took a turn for the worse yesterday when the disgraced anti-Trump group the Lincoln Project attempted to orchestrate a hoax that involved five individuals dressed up as white supremacists expressing support for Youngkin in a bid to repel Virginia's voters. Among these ‘white wupremacists’ reluctantly standing before Youngkin’s campaign bus was a black man and what appeared to be a woman.

The motives behind this disgraceful and amateur stunt were instantly discovered and ridiculed on social media.

But that didn't stop members of McAuliffe’s campaign team and their allies in the media, amplifying the hoax.

McAuliffe’s ‘outraged’ communications staffer Jen Goodman tweeted that the gathering was “disgusting and disqualifying.”

wait, these pervs in the Lincoln Project paid people to pretend to be “white supremacists” to go to the Younkin rally? Is this not lawsuit material?

This has always been the case with McAuliffe. When under pressure, he makes monumental gaffes and missteps. Didn’t happen in 2013, because, at the height of the trumped-up charges of corruption against Bob McDonnell, the dems were energized to dump Ken Cuccinelli. This time, the dynamic is far different, the playing field is level, and McAuliffe’s true nature shows up.

The gaffes may not matter. They are already saying the votes may known until Friday.

Mail in voting needs to be illegal. At a minimum mail in votes need to be delivered BY election day.

The original C-ville tiki torch parade was Soros paid agit prop theater to hang Nazis around Trump’s neck. It worked so well they tried to do it again. First they painted anti CRT parents as domestic terrorists and now tiki torch Nazis. This absurd gambit wreaks of desperation. Their only hope is to cut Younkin’s lead in the final polls to within the margin of believable mail fraud.

Thankfully any hope of Terry running as POTUS in 2024 are ruined due this laughable campaign. Win or lose he is done.

My question...what kind of pay do you get to put on white-shirts, and carry around Tiki-torches to pretend to be white supremists? $300, $500, $1000? Then the bigger question...the foundation in the middle of this and hiring the fake supremists...transporting them to the event, what is their take? $10k, $20k? How did McAuliffe pay the middle guy....through the campaign? And if so, do you label the expense as campaign advertising?

McAuliffe has a lot of explaining to do. If he paid out $25,000 for this service....ought to be some state fine for the behavior demonstrated.

They probably paid the black guy and the white girl less than they paid the white guys.

“wait, these pervs in the Lincoln Project paid people to pretend to be “white supremacists” to go to the Younkin rally?”

I doubt they even knew of it, considering that it was DNC operatives who have been outed.

These NeverRepublican Pedos are supporting The Punk (as Rush called him), and saw the damage that would happen if the DNC were linked, so they volunteered to take the blame...that way the The Punk could still say that ‘Republicans’ were behind the stunt.

Yes, and gave them Tiki-torches that were markedly inferior to those given to the white guys.

Nice to see we're catching the creepy little liars faster now...Not fast enough to stop dem's press butt boys from jumping to help democrats - but fast enough to limit the damage. Also nice to see that citizens are catching on...

He merely voiced what most all of those on the left think/practice/put_into_place daily!

Youngkin will win. Do not be cynical or defeatist this time. Doesn’t help. Get all your friends in VA to vote.

I can only hope Youngkin will win. I did my part to make that happen. But in the final analysis, Stalin was right. Voters decide nothing. Instead, those who count the votes decide everything.
