Huma Abedin writes in her forthcoming book that a U.S. senator sexually assaulted her in her 20s, kissing her unprompted and forcing his tongue in her mouth as the two conversed in his apartment. The longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, now 45, detailed the incident in her memoir Both/And: A Life in Many Words, set to be published next week, according to an excerpt obtained by the Guardian. Abedin withheld details of the senator’s identity, including his party affiliation, whether he is still in Congress, and which state he represented.

Hillary Clinton was a Senator. Since Huma kept the identity and party a secret, I think we just all assume it was Hillary Clinton.
If this is true, I’m surprised that the clintons didn’t have him suicided in Fort Marcy Park.

Hard to believe a Senator would be that thirsty, but we all have our problems I guess.

This was after a dinner with some senators and their people. So it was a Democrat senator who went after her.
Yet we are led to believe that only evil Republicans assault women. Because good Democrats believe in women’s rights and abortion rights etc.
In this me too era, why is Huma protecting the identity of the perpetrator?
Why is this leaked ahead of her book being published? To stir up interest in a book which otherwise would be ignored?
She’s not giving name, which means she’s protecting him.
If it had been a republican senator, she would have accused him immediately and had him arrested. So, by default, it was a democrat senator with whom she was working or was friendly to Hillary and those she supported.
Whaddaymean? I'm sure if the cuplrit was a Republican, Huma would discreetly protect his identity just as she would that of a senator from her own party (snicker).
