People, especially FReepers, will NEVER believe that they have been taken in by the FAKE NEWS of the NY Times. Besides, it’s NYC, so it *must* be true.
The local precinct WAS called, but no one knows what happened to the information given by callers to the desk sergeant. This was before the 911 system and there were no *official* records of calls.
Oh, and there were NOT 38 witnesses either. But hey, the Times said there were, so it *must* be true.
The City government used these lies to help push for the 911 system. Never let a crises (or tragedy) go to waste.
If anyone wants to know the truth, see the documentary “The Witness” It is a film about Kitty’s brother Bill, a double amputee Viet Nam vet and his search for what really happened that night.
'Done something'? Gotten doxxed by the media, attacked by the US Department of Just-us for civil rights violations or, as is now the style, for being a domestic terrorist?
Yeah, other riders should've done something. They should've moved out of metropolitan Philly a long, long, long time ago.

I am just reading all this again and I couldn’t help but remember the individuals on Flight 93 were all strangers to one another and yet they managed to form a bond that surly meant their death.
They did have one purpose in mind that brought them together to form a way to “adapt and overcome.”
What an inspiration and homage to people of character...exceptional character.

69TH Street Station area in UD is a s***hole.
As a kid I would ride the El the entire length from Bridge St to 69th St just for the experience. In the 60’s there was a radio ad for the area “Just direct your shopping feet to 69th street...easy street...”
While UD has become a hole, the same has happened to my old Tacony/Mayfair/Wissinoming neighborhood. Sad.
