The company announced the increase Wednesday, following its move in May to make all its U.S. vendors pay its employees at least $15 an hour.
“Our company’s focus on Responsible Growth requires that we provide a great place to work,” said Sheri Bronstein, chief human resources officer at Bank of America.

BofA did not increase the minimum wage. They increased their STARTING WAGE.

Yes, amid labor shortages and then advertises with words as if it is only doing it to be a good, socially conscious corporate citizen. I knew what was going on when I saw their full page WSJ ad this morning selling their new found socially conscious wage attitude. Made me want to puke.
Pretty soon that’ll be enough for a gallon of gas.
$21. starting wage for a clerk....I expect there willl be those who will certainly jump at that.
In capitalism, businesses are allowed to make decision. Some companies will get better employees if they offer higher compensation. Others may not get value for their compensation.

Spare us YOUR business philosophy. BankAmerica was selling its social-political philosophy, rent seeking with the Dim politicians and the likes of AOC, not telling as how good THEIR business philosophy is. But they know the idiots will read their ad and not realize labor shortages and inflation alone require they raise their starting salaries at the low end of their jobs. At the same time, they’ll likely ask for more work or less costly contracts from their vendors that clean their offices and which hire the cheapest labor they can.

One task: Replace each marked bill of payoff money to Hunter Biden with a non-marked bill and recount it to make sure accurate. Full time but seasonal work. Rubber fingertip protectors supplied by employer. Experience with organized crime preferred but any past Dem Party or Soros work acceptable.

If so, that likely explains a lot.
