Sears Roebuck had a good run. I know people who said their Craftsman tools were the best quality. Ditto the Kenmore appliances.
Does anyone else sell Craftsman tools anywhere else? Or Kenmore home appliances such as washing machines?
Growing up the Sears Christmas catalog gave us many hours of wishing.....
Ace Hardware sells Craftsman tools.
Lowes has Craftsman now. But the quality is no better than Home Depot’s Husky or Harbor Freight’s upgraded brands. A Craftsman 3/8s ratchet I bought about 10 years ago gave up pretty quickly. Good riddance.
Stanley tools bought the Craftsman name
But nothing is the same anymore
Lowe’s has Craftsmanship.
There are lots of stores that now carry the Craftsman brand.
Lowes, ACE , and our local Atwoods Farm and Home all carry Craftsman tools. Also some others carry Craftsman.
Stanley Black & Decker acquired the Craftsman tool brand from Sears.
When younger I liked to ride my bike and I found 1/2 a box wrench in a parking lot, since it said Craftsmen on it I brought it back to the Sears at Coastland Mall and got a new wrench, at that time worth about $7.

Or Kenmore home appliances such as washing machines?

My Kenmore washer / dryer are over 25 years old. Still running just fine. No fancy electronics and very reliable. Required service a few times in the past but the local appliance store can work on them. Plan on keeping them until they are beyond repair.
I bought a Kenmore HEPA Air Cleaner Purifier Ionizer in 1990 for $95 for my bedroom. Every three months I change the outer carbon filter maybe about $2.00 and once a year the inner main filter ($30 -$40). That’s roughly $1,290.00 in filters. The unit still runs like new and I can’t sleep without the hum.
I think Lowe’s sells Craftsman now. Not the tools of your father. I believe now Chinese manufacture.
Craftsman tools used to be good, but Sears sold off the name years ago, and the formerly good tools turned into tools made of cheese. For hand tools, I prefer Snap-on.
Does ACE sell Craftsman?
Kenmore was only a name. Sears never made appliances. They bought from another company and then had “Kenmore” slapped on them. For a long time most of their appliances were actually whirlpool. If you went to Sears to lookup part numbers then the parts actually had whirlpool numbers. You could then use those numbers to buy the parts cheaper from whirlpool parts distributors.
Ace hardware sells craftsman tool i believe
Kenmore appliances are just a re-brand of another appliance brand like Whirlpool or Maytag. You can track it down with the serial number as to what it actually is.
Lowes sells Craftsman tools. I think they bought the brand. I don’t know if they retained and/or will honor the old Craftsman warranty.
Lowes Home Centers
Look for Craftsman tools in Loews.
