I attended the 2009 Free Republic Convention and Banquet Dinner in September where I met some wonderful people and had a great time. I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Arlington Virgina which is where the Convention was held. It was there that we also had the candle light prayer vigil on September 11 at the top of the hotel.

Also that evening I, along with other Freepers attended the rally at Walter Reed Hospital to show our support for the troops and then of course the next day we all attended the September 12 march and rally in DC.

Most recently, on November 21, 2009, I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Governor Sarah Palin at a book signing event. We shook hands, chatted a bit and then she signed my copy of Going Rogue.
