Pelosi, blaming Trump for debt, vows to raise borrowing limit © Getty/Bonnie Cash Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) vowed Wednesday that Democrats will stave off a government default by raising the debt ceiling in the coming weeks.
The Speaker did not specify what larger legislative vehicle, if any, Democratic leaders will tap to move the controversial measure amid threats of non-cooperation from Republican leaders. But she was terse in ruling out one potential avenue: "We won't be putting it in reconciliation," Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol.
That redline is significant, since the Democrats' nascent $3.5 trillion reconciliation package is the one piece of looming legislation expected to move by special budget rules allowing it to pass without any Republican support.

How do the short attention span American people even remember President Trump in order to blame him?
I don’t think the public is ignorant about this President and his administration.....even the simple minded see and feel the affects of their agenda every day. However I do think the public doesn’t know how to stop it as their representatives also sit on the sidelines and watch Congress fail just as miserably as Biden is.
The system isn’t just malfunctioning....it’s completely broken down and in the hands of people who have no regard for the public.
If it weren’t for Trump defeating Hillary she would have pushed us off of the cliff Obama left us on and likely that would include at least double the debt we have now. Democrats are desperate to keep power and in order to stop (black Republican) Larry Elder in the California recall they’ve even called him “white supremacist”. Now we find out a reason they are scared. I saw an article over at 100percentfedup about that, “Larry Elder To Replace Senator Dianne Feinstein With A Republican If He Wins Recall Election”, so give that a look. That would make it 51-49 R from the current 50-50 with D VP breaking ties and McConnell might help stop Biden and Pelosi. Dims and the budget are like drunk kids with their parents credit card. Neither thing will end well.
The $3.5T “infrastructure bill” is Trump’s fault. Got it.
