incentives to remove exclusionary zoning and land use policies by local and state governments that limit new construction

That is extremely dangerous.

It means, in practice, turning safe suburban and rural areas into dangerous urban ghettos.

Can anyone say AGENDA 21? It seems to have been hidden away during the TRUMP years.

Letting in millions of illegals and refugees is a sure way to make housing easier to get (extreme sarcasm)

Gonna need all that housing for the “refugees” pouring in from everywhere. Including the terrorists.

... expand outreach to local governments and nonprofits to buy federally held homes.

Increasing the number of potential buyers increases the price. If the government really wanted to make using moire affordable, it would *raise* interest rates which would drive down the price of homes.

When governments make credit ‘easy’ they drive up the price of goods. As a prime example, look at higher education where the price each year has exceeded the cost of inflation year after year for 30 years. The end result being even less affordable education and graduating students saddled with a lifetime of debt. It’s almost as if by design, which of course it is.

49 percent of the country already pay no federal income tax. And some get free money through refunds from paying zero taxes. Such a stupid system. Everyone Pat 15 percent period. No deductions or tax credits. That’s how you increase the economy.

Whenever the government says affordable they mean the exact opposite.

Prices of whatever they say will be “affordable” will skyrocket—every time.

Great example—CA politicians have had “affordable housing” programs for decades—total and complete fail—the price of housing if off the charts for average citizens.

Their plan will result in more expensive housing, paid for eternally by the remaining fools who still go out to work.

Negative amortization...that’d fix it. Maybe with 50 year terms, and zero down payments. Million dollar starter homes.

My best friend used to be involved in this kind of scam in Illinois. The gov would pay them to build a small house for about $150000, then sell it to someone who didn’t have the income or credit to buy a house for $60000. Well, you can guess what happened to the houses. Copper pipe stolen doors gone, then they paid him to come in, rehab them and sell them again at a huge loss!

This is similar to federal housing built on reservations out west. After 30 years you need to tear the structure down and start from scratch on the foundation. There is no way to rehab the house.

The only thing that really works are organizations like Habitat for Humanity. Where the new home owner is required to actually help build the house/structure. They then have a vested interest in maintaining the structure.

May I posit that America is embracing fascism rather than communism, spearheaded by multi-national corporations with corrupt board members that are colloquially known as the "Donor Class".

This Donor Class has successfully pushed through and profited from policies for massive immigration and reckless lending practices, all forcibly underwritten by the American taxpayer.

The latest scheme of the Donor Class is to buy up the distressed properties and make them available for Section 8 tenants, and again the American tax payer gets stuck with the bill.

IMHO, this is the greatest transfer of wealth in history.
