Have you looked at a map? Make a “corridor” to where? It’s completely landlocked and totally surrounded by our enemies on all sides. This is why its call the place “where empires go to die.”
Without a secure airbase that can safely handle transports in and out, it’s basically a death sentence. Whoever was behind outright abandoning of our AFB there prior to this chaos, needs to be arrested and tried for treason. That base was crucial to the evacuation, not the commercial airport.
Now, we can either parachute in troops in an attempt to try to secure the airport enough to allow air traffic in and out (which itself is now surrounded by the taliwhackers armed with our own latest weaponry) or embarrassingly beg the ‘weird beards” for mercy on the world stage. No matter how it goes down, it’s a total disgrace at this point.

I saw some post from the Taliban the other day, went something like “We have learned that the army and police in Kabul have abandoned the area. We had agreed to not enter the city, but now we must enter so that thieves and robbers do not run rampant. We must enter to protect the people of Kabul from the thieves and robbers.”
