Taliban fighters have invaded the palatial home of top Afghan warlord and US ally and videoed themselves lounging on his gold furniture and inspecting his golden tea set - as their advance closes on capital Kabul amid a scramble to get Westerners out.
General Rashid Dostum's home is in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif which fell to the Taliban yesterday and now there are claims that the advancing fighters have reached the outskirts of Kabul.
Dostum was a key US ally during the 20 year campaign against the Taliban and famously fought with the Special Forces 'horse soldiers' shortly after 9/11.

Now he is sending 5,000 brave young American soldiers and Marines ostensibly to aid in the evacuation of the embassy and other Americans. The reality is that these troops are now a garrison for Kabul. Their mission will be to preserve the fiction of the Afghan government and try to prevent carnage and blood fest photo ops which will be embarassing to the Biden cabal. Once again American blood will be shed on hehalf of vile, wothless politicians.

Prayers needed for our people trapped there, and for the out-numbered troops being rushed in to protect them. I’m sure our people remained this long only because they weren’t warned this was likely to happen this quickly.
Afghanistan was never a country. It’s a set of lines on a map which enclose various tribal territories. Most in that region give first allegiance to their tribe. Invading was like stepping on a rake, and the handle has been smashing our national face ever since.
