Social workers in Bradford turned a blind eye when a 15-year-old grooming victim took part in an Islamic marriage to one of her abusers, a damning report revealed yesterday.
Despite the teenager not coming from a Muslim background, professionals meant to protect her then allowed the parents of her 'husband' to foster her after she became pregnant, it revealed.
One of her social workers allegedly even attended the wedding ceremony.
The terrified girl – referred to as 'Anna' – was left in a state of 'domestic slavery', too scared to leave the controlling relationship for fear she would be the victim of an honour killing, she told the report's authors.
Details emerged yesterday in an independent report into the treatment of five abuse victims in the West Yorkshire city over the past two decades, which found that 'children suffered abuse no child should have to experience'.
Alarmingly, it concluded that some youngsters in Bradford 'remain unprotected' from sex exploitation.
The report – described by the body which commissioned it as making 'difficult and, at times, distressing reading' – began two years ago after nine men of Pakistani heritage were jailed for more than 57 years over the sexual exploitation of girls who had been in Bradford Council's care.

Bradford is a post-industrial, northern English town. The factories are long gone and now those places are overrun with migrants while the white, working class are leaving (so called "white flight").

I think there is already an understanding that in certain cases “local justice” is determined by the community. I also understand that this was predated by similar rules in the Jewish communities in the UK, particularly with civil rather than criminal laws.
I’m in no way a supporter of the above and I am not surprised we still haven’t faced up to dealing with these cultural issues.

I spent a month in England a few years back and saw what you describe. I was not prepared to see 15 and 16 year old white children blind drunk and out on the street.
Society seemed officially athiest except in the case of being anti-Catholic.
My understanding is that they marry even younger than that.
If anyone thinks this welfare officer is a one off, I have news for you. Expect this to happen 9 out of 10 times it rears its ugly serpent head. Not just in Merry England but also here in America and every other country who allows these Medievalist’s into their countries due to the fact that 99.999% of social workers are vested into the false notion that islam is a religion of peace and they are socialists too.
Authorities are going to protect multicultural diversity. That means they will turn a blind eye to 9yo child brides.
I read the entire article. Nothing was said about what happened to the social worker who was complicit with this situation. They too should have been charged and jailed along with the 9 perps pictured. In reality the social worker is now probably the department head or promoted to some other lofty position that is way over their abilities.
