Another Vietnam in the making.
It’s obvious we no longer know how to win wars. We simply don’t have the stomach for it anymore.
Another Cambodia in the making.
Absolute sickening disgrace. So if there is no more true security and a airfield, what happens when the inevitable embassy sieges begin? We know the answer in Benghazi and Hanoi. Who knew 9/11 would truly be forgotten and fade away and we would lose to the Taliban? I hate to use the “ashamed” moniker, but I am so deeply saddened.
I hope we had the foresight to booby-trap them.
Our guys learned some wonderful tricks in Vietnam.
This could have been over in 2001-2002. Stupid, stupid people.
When Vietnam fell, there were about a million people killed plus the communist re-education camps cowed the South.
When the Taliban retakes Afghanistan how many will have their heads chopped and re-educated to the ways of the veil and jihad?
Another loss for America snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?
But of course the forever war continues in other theaters of war.
> It’s obvious we no longer know how to win wars. <
There is a saying: Democracies should go to war reluctantly, and fiercely.
Since the end of WW II we’ve done pretty much the opposite. We go to war almost at the drop of a hat. And then we conduct that war half-heartedly.
for a very few days, WOMEN in Afghanistan wore their
hair out, and had power.
Clinton, Soros and UN could not allow that, so the
headdresses went on and power went away.
as i pointed out then, the penalty should have
been the handing of ALL power to the FREED women.
No worries. The US military is working overtime to be fully LGBTQ/CRT/BLM/Woke compliant. That’s something America can really take pride in. /sarc
Rest assured in the next military confilict of any significance the US will proudly accept the “also participated trophy.” Maybe they should consider replacing the white flag of surrender with the gay pride flag.
If I’m not mistaken there is a very poigant statement about those nations that take second place in wars.
The Badakshan corridor blocks India’s only land route to Europe or the Caspian Basin oil and gas; that does not go through Pakistan or China.
A Geostrategic loss.
Perhaps some weapons but we left most all of our aircraft on the ground for the S. Vietnamese, making them the 3rd largest air force in the world.
I was a civiilian contractor at Tan Son Nhut AFB in the summer-fall of '74 in an effort to teach the S. Vietnamese army how to maintain our aircraft.
You could tell from their attitudes that they were all done with war, and as history shows, S. Vietnam fell the following Spring.
already starting. See article.
That’s not a US tank. Looks like a T-55 left behind by the Soviets.
Under Puppetdent Biden and his puppetmasters - **crickets**...
Why would we leave anything of value behind?
“It’s obvious we no longer know how to win wars. We simply don’t have the stomach for it anymore”
After ww2 every conflict has been a UN controlled debacle. Winning is not in the lexicon. Pacification is the plan. “Winning hearts and minds” you know the drill.
Wiping out the enemy and their ability to wage war is a concept lost on the body politic.
Yeah making the world safe for faggotry and Islamic extremism is really going to win hearts and minds, because that’s all we’ve done in the last 40 years.
Didn’t happen. The North Vietnamese captured airbases and bases with equipment fully intact. The US pulled out in 73, Saigon fell April 75.
I remember a time when the idea that America could lose a war was unthinkable.
I remember a time when the idea that America could lose a war was unthinkable. .................... You might say we dropped the balls after Nam. They were soldiers and marines back then, and their gene pool became diluted from then on. Looks like the new marines may change their slogan to “The Few. The Proud. The Morines” ??? Yeah move forward with the rainbow colors the enemy will surrender at the sight of it, due to laughter and inability to stand up while rolling on the ground.
