His charges are related to the failure to pay taxes on benefits obtained as part of his work for Trump. ...

In a desperate effort to get Mr. Weisselberg to lie about crimes committed by Trump, prosecutors will threaten to destroy him and his family, while a complicit judge will throw in a gag order.

I figured if 80, why not piss in the DA’s face, but at 73... might pay to be less cantankerous...

Wouldn't something like this be you have to pay the taxable value of whatever you received? Is it normal to throw someone in jail over such a thing?

In a normal world...for these tax crimes, you’d add up the amount and simply suggest they pay the tax bill and some hefty fine.

The chief problem I see here...in the NY City area, with company cars dispensed out...there’s probably 10,000 individuals who are guilty of this ‘sin’, and nationally...probably over 250k.

In the 2012 period, a certain division of Homeland Security had issued out leased cars to ‘agents’ and they drove them home each night. I’d consider those folks just as guilty for a tax violation.

Either he didn’t flip and he’s a stand up guy or there’s nothing to flip about. Failure to pay taxes on company perks could put virtually all the CEOs in NYC in jail. The DA should be embarrassed for bringing such flimsy, politically motivated charges.

How about the execs 3 Martini lunches with clients who are
just his buddies and not clients at all.

I hope Sliwa and a Republican take over the City and State
of New York and reverse all this BS.

Meanwhile Cuomo killed 20,000 in nursing homes and isn’t even charged with manslaughter

The guy neglected to pay taxes on a bonus he got from working for Trump ? That’s it? Donald Trump really must be the cleanest business man in New York if that’s all they got.

They spent “months” coming up with that much.

If anybody else spent months working on a project and this is all they had to show for it, they’d be fired immediately. In the private sector, I mean. Government employees will probably get bonuses and promotions for this fine work.
