How is this legal and not a violation of the officers’ civil liberties and religious freedoms?

Hopefully it will be the last Texas PD to have a pride patch.
Its really not something to be proud about.

Think any officer would be allowed to wear a patch of a cross?

Such a pathetic nation we have become.
This is EXACTLY how Rome fell.
Oh well, good while it lasted I guess.

One of the seven deadly sins... pride. And i would think that pride in taking it right up the wazzoo would make god even more angry.

I do try to have sympathy for officers who are injured or killed in the line of duty.
But let’s face it: All across this country, the police are working for the other side. They are not our friends. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know there are exceptions. I know your Brother-in-law is a an officer and he’s really a good guy. I’m not talking about him. I’m talking about the other 99.99%.
To: Levy78
Okay, are the “pride patches” mandatory for officers to wear, because I could see some serious 1st Amendment rights violations here. That symbol is purely a political one.

Pride. It's no coincidence that a sinful attitude is used to describe some people's sinful behavior.
To: Levy78
People who drape themselves in banners that proclaim pride are really very ashamed of themselves.
