Raining off and on in SC. The initial wind that preceded the rain was worrisome but died down once the rain started. More of a Claudette Colbert than a Claudette Longet. ☺️

A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the
coast of NC from Little River Inlet to Duck, including Pamlico and
Albemarle Sounds.

Conditions appear to be conducive for the re-development of
Claudette once it encounters a more unstable marine environment
late today. The system should move close to the Gulf Stream by
Monday afternoon, likely fueling intensification while the shear is
low.

Claudette is still dumping moisture here on the Loveliest Village. That is a good thing.

Another season, but Florida is worth it.......!

....one of my first hurricanes, David, Category 1, shortly after we moved here.......stalled off Brevard County........and spawned tornadoes and other ugly things in a couple days

I spent the better part keeping my baby and a 5 yr old dry in the hallway while my husband worked all night bailing water pouring in our bay windows......

.....and here we are 42 years later!.....
....we evacuated for two hurricanes ......2004 was a rough year ....I think we had 4 .....one after the other!

2004, remember it like it was yesterday. Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne and Ivan. The morning local news announced Hurricane Ivan was the latest storm threat, I watched multiple vehicles veering off the road on the way to my dentist appointment. Hurricane overload.

It’s whipping around a little, been getting rain off and on for couple days.we were dry though so it’s soaking in good.

Right now it’s cool, overcast and squalls keep coming in.

God is with us baby. It’s all good!!!

Love you.

Rain, I LOVE rain. Dry spring here in northwest. I’d love torrents. Hope you get sufficient precip without the destructive winds.
