Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn have been investigating whether several Ukrainian officials helped orchestrate a wide-ranging plan to meddle in the 2020 presidential campaign, including using attorney Rudy Giuliani to spread misleading claims about President Joe Biden and tilt the election in former President Donald Trump’s favor, people with knowledge of the matter told The New York Times on Thursday.
The criminal investigation, which began during the final months of the Trump administration and has not been previously reported, underscores the federal government’s increasingly aggressive approach toward rooting out foreign interference in American electoral politics.
Much of that effort is focused on Russian intelligence, which has suspected ties to at least one of the Ukrainians now under investigation, according to the report.
The investigation is unfolding separately from a long-running federal inquiry in Manhattan that is aimed at Giuliani. While the two investigations have a similar cast of characters and overlap in some ways, Giuliani is not a subject of the Brooklyn investigation, the sources said.
Instead, the Brooklyn prosecutors, along with the F.B.I., are focused on current and former Ukrainian officials suspected of trying to influence the election by spreading unsubstantiated claims of corruption about Biden through a number of channels, including Giuliani, according to The New York Times.
It is unclear whether the Brooklyn prosecutors will ultimately charge any of the Ukrainians.

Today, the United States is imposing sanctions on seven individuals and four entities that are part of a Russia-linked foreign influence network associated with Andrii Derkach, who was designated on September 10, 2020, pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13848 for his attempt to influence the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. Derkach, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, has been an active Russian agent for more than a decade, maintaining close connections with Russian intelligence services.
Former Ukraine Government officials Konstantin Kulyk, Oleksandr Onyshchenko, Andriy Telizhenko, and current member of the Ukrainian parliament Oleksandr Dubinsky, have publicly appeared with or affiliated themselves with Derkach through the coordinated dissemination and promotion of fraudulent or unsubstantiated allegations involving a U.S. political candidate. They have made repeated public statements advancing malicious narratives that U.S. Government officials have engaged in corrupt dealings in Ukraine. These efforts and narratives are consistent with or in support of Derkach’s objectives to influence the 2020 U.S. presidential election. As such, these individuals have been designated pursuant to E.O. 13848 for having directly or indirectly engaged in, sponsored, concealed, or otherwise been complicit in foreign influence in an attempt to undermine the 2020 U.S. elections.
NabuLeaks, Era-Media, Only News, and Skeptik TOV are media front companies in Ukraine that disseminate false narratives at the behest of Derkach’s and his associates. They are being designated pursuant to E.O. 13848 for being owned or controlled by Derkach or his media team. Today’s action also includes the designation of Petro Zhuravel, Dmytro Kovalchuk, and Anton Simonenko for having materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of, Derkach.

If you go back to 2004 in the Ukraine....they had this event (Orange Revolution is the term used)...where various western groups (journalists, foundations, American pollsters, and professional ‘consultants’ arrived and got into organizational help.
Somewhere in the middle of this...the Bush State Department and USAID arrived and got hyped up that they could be a part of this ‘success’. In the same period...Soro’s group ‘Open Society Institute’ came into play.
You could say from this period 2004 to 2010...this was a four-star circus going on, with meddling by probably a minimum of three other countries, and at least twenty different groups.
I would suggest this is when the ‘hire-our-kids’ business started up and Hunter Biden was probably already connected in some way (way before the natural gas executive job opened up).

Read my post (#13). These Ukrainians had ties to Russian intelligence. This was already being investigated by the State Department (Pompeo) during the Trump admin.
Sounds like the leftist in the Manhattan DA’s office are trying to counter the Pompeo report. This could be illegal if it serves a political purpose to denigrate/smear Trump and promote Biden/Harris, etc.
