Monday, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) addressed his departure from CNN, where he served as a political contributor, during an appearance on FNC’s “Hannity.”

Santorum was reportedly dismissed from the left-of-center cable news channel for dubious allegations of making disparaging remarks about Native American culture.

Whatever, he has as much stature as a political commentator as 100,000 others who once served in elected office or was involved as some level. He never offered any interesting or unique insights, dime a dozen.

Let me offer Rick solidarity. For one thing, Native Americans lived in conditions we can’t imagine. Life was short, ignorant, and brutal. It was endurable, and barely so, due to the beauty of Nature and Heritage. When Europeans showed up, riding on horses, the ‘Indians’ were astonished. “What the hell is that?” they asked. “That is a horse.” The Spaniard replied. Before the evil white man came here everybody walked. Can you imagine hunting Buffalo on foot? So yea, Indian Life wasn’t so hot. That’s not to demean all that is splendid and noble in Native American cultures, it’s just the truth.

Perhaps now after decades of Rick “Trying to get along”, he realizes he was only a tool in the Lefts plan.

Exactly, I have pointed that out to multiple people in which they always call me a racist. We landed on a continent where the people still didn’t understand the concept of a wheel, could smelt metal and make metal tools, have a written language (other than crude drawings). Yes they had a few attributes which were worth learning about but in the grand scheme of things they were supremely primitive.

I was born in the US, so I'm a Native American. I never heard him make disparaging remarks about my culture.

Who? Santorum? I thought he was dead!

I know he is politically dead, but I thought he was actually DEAD! (He’s dead to me anyway). Probably a nice family man, but what a LOSER!

I like your suggested dialogue:
“What the hell is that?”
“That, is a Horse!”
Lol.

from the left-of-center cable news channel

From the far-left extremist cable news channel.

Fixed.

This is how leftists refer to Fox or NewsMax - as "far-right, extremist."

As for Santorum (no wonder we thought he was dead, he was on CNN, which, come to think of it, isn't much different) - how did that "getting along" go for you Santorum?

Way back in the 70’s Santorum ran in W. PA as a pro life Republican. He ran against a long entrenched Dem family starting with Margaret Walgren and then his race against her son Doug Walgren the incumbent. He won in an upset as W PA was rock solid Dem but his pro life position helped. That was back when PA had a pro life Dem, Bob Casey as Governor. That Dem party is long gone now. But Rick back then was a high energy new Republican entering Congress.
