Another round of stimulus payments is on the way, the Internal Revenue Service announced.
The payments are the ninth batch of Economic Impact Payments from President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan. In all, the plan - which includes stimulus payments of up to $1,400 per person - has distributed some 165 million stimulus payments with a value of about $388 billion.
The payments began processing on May 7 with a processing date of May 12 with some people receiving direct payments in their accounts earlier as provisional or pending deposits.
More than 500,000 of the latest batch of payments went to eligible individuals for whom the IRS previously did not have information to issue a stimulus check but who recently filed a tax return. It also includes more than 460,000 “plus-up” payments sent to people who earlier this year received payments based on their 2019 tax returns but are now eligible for a new or larger payment based on their recently processed 2020 tax returns.

Aren’t these things just an advance or are they taxable income? We had our tax refund “adjusted” by the irs the same amount we got in the first government payout. Didn’t qualify for any more after that.
I’ve got a message for all the mailbox money folks. All bums need to return to work immediately. The party was fun while it lasted but now it is over. If you don’t like working in a restaurant, you shouldn’t have been a screwball in high school. Stupid can be painful at times.
Ever since this shutdown nonsense and working at home most days, I've been able to put about $1,000 into my savings every paycheck. This is because I don't travel or eat out as much. No concerts, no sporting events, nothing. I go camping and hiking still but that's cheap.
The stimulus payments are not taxed and are treated like a tax credit next year if you qualify but for some reason don't get it.

Still have not received the $1400 even though I am eligible and the get my payment tool says i am eligible.

Of course the idea that the only people that should get the $ are those that PAID (I was in the top quintile but that ends this year as I have retired) is revolting to the current fools in Washington.
If self-employed and paying estimated payments you can just adjust the $$s being sent in. Quaterly amount -= (stim/4)
Just send me my Social Security that I’ve paid in in a lump sum and I’ll be happy. Oh wait.
In December, when #2 was being disbursed, that online ‘wherezit’ said mine would be released in May 2021. Well, its May 2021, and after the 7th, and both my mailbox and bank do not show that McConnell $600.00.

It used to be you got penalized if you didn’t file your tax return. Under Biden you get rewarded.
