Don Lemon started his program by discussing comments made by Tennessee State Rep. Justin Lafferty, R-Knoxville, about the Three-Fifths Compromise. Then, he devoted a segment in the second hour of Wednesday’s “CNN Tonight” to the subject.
Lemon told his audience, incorrectly, that the Constitution “explicitly counted [slaves] as three-fifths of a free person, or three-fifths of a man, so that the slave states would be able to accrue more political power without having to count a slave as a full person.”
In fact, the Three-Fifths Compromise denied slave-owning states their request to count 100% of their slaves in the Census. Northerners wanted no slaves counted; Southerners wanted all slaves counted — with congressional delegates awarded accordingly. More slaves meant more political power for slave owners. To assure all 13 colonies ratified the U.S. Constitution, delegates brokered an agreement that only three-fifths of all slaves would be counted.

Joseph didn’t take the bait — unlike fellow CNN host Chris Cuomo, who began the 10 p.m. hand-off by hinting at a conspiracy behind Republicans accurately discussing history.
“They are bringing up this Three-Fifths Compromise stuff for a reason,” Cuomo said. “It’s something pernicious and wicked that they’re trying to do.”
“Is it white supremacy? What is it?” asked Don Lemon.
“I don’t know what their end game is,” Cuomo admitted.

Of course they are but one outlet spreading this total misinformation.
I think Dems today are trying to restore the 3/5 compromise except with whites as the object of their disaffection. Well, I didn’t need the other 2/5 anyway so long as they left me with my shooting hand
Back in the beginning, Rats wanted to count slaves for political power. Today they want to count illegals for political power. Rats have not changed one bit except somehow they have become even more evil and hateful.
The gaslight media is going to gaslight. It’s not in their interest for people to know actual facts or actual history, because they are part of something wicked.
Anybody who has studied history understands 3/5 compromise. It was to fight buying slaves to gain power.
What the Democrats are doing is truly satanic, horribly evil.
If our school system had properly taught the children, this evil rhetoric would never be offered.
Don Lemon doesn’t meet the three fifths of a man being the fag that he is.
Is Don Lemon lying? or just ignorant? I’m guessing he’s both, but mostly lying. Someone should tell him to his face.
Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs - partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays.
Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

Lemon is correct. Regardless of whether slaves were counted as a whole person or as 3/5ths of a person the end result was still to grant slave states a disproportionately large representation in the House of Representatives.
Lemon is a degenerate who has allowed his animal instincts to control his life. He certainly has never sought enlightenment on any subject.
I had a 30 second conversation about the 3/5 thing a few years ago with a black colleague. She said “they want us to be 3/5 of a person again”.. I said, who exactly told you that you are only 3/5 of a person? What law was just passed that said you are 3/5 of a person? When were YOU ever considered anything less than a citizen, like I am?.
She fell back on “well, we were” .. So again I asked, who is “we” and who alive right now, was ever considered 3/5 of a person?
Then it fell to “how I feel because Trump won”.
It’ll never be about truth, facts or history, it’ll always be about how they “feel” and how we have to change our lives and end the way of life because of how they “feel”.
Why do you say ‘a disproportionately large representation?
Certainly, counting slaves (at either 3/5 or 5/5) was going to increase their representation in Congress, but either was, I would suggest that the increase was anything but disproportionate (unless taken in context of the Northern States).
Your thoughts?
Republican voters are the new slaves. Our votes are tabulated as 3/5 of a vote.
I, for one, don’t understand why this Queer Lemon makes the news every week.

Because by counting slaves the the slave states were allocated more House seats than they were entitled to. In 1860, for example, Alabama's population was 964,201 of which 435,080 were slaves. By rights only about 529,000 people should have been counted for the purpose of allocating seats but because of the 3/5ths clause 790,000 people were counted.

Sure it was. Slaves were property in the south, not people. They had no rights or protections and didn't need congressional representation any more than any other kind of property.
My opinion would because he is a queer. And the media and Hollywood is in a queer worshiping mode. As is Congress and all other positions of Power. Other than that, I don’t know.
How so? The apportionment of representatives is based on "persons," not "citizens." Thus legal resident aliens are rightly counted. If not for the 3/5ths rule the slave states would have had more representatives. The 3/5ths rule has been misrepresented for a long time. It was anti-slaveholder, not anti-black.
Well, I didn’t need the other 2/5 anyway so long as they left me with my shooting hand..

Most people find that 1/5 is way more than enough ...
