I agree with you totally. I really never understand the people who have done horrible things but then get ‘saved’ in prison, but who are then looking to get out of prison, by saying how good they are now.
If you were bad, but now you are good, part of that is accepting your just punishment with dignity. Prisons need good people, because they don’t have too many of them.
Gonna be very interesting to see how her counsel tries to apply the Castle doctrine when it was Jean’s castle, not hers...

IMO, murder requires an intent to kill someone, which was not the case here nor in the George Floyd case.
I can’t agree with a murder conviction here but something else is appropriate, maybe “negligent homicide” or “manslaughter”.

That reminds me of Carla Faye Tucker who used a pic axe on her ex-and his girlfriend. She got Jesus in prison and I have no doubt......some things you can’t fake. She was sentenced to die and Pat Robertson and other clergy pled for her to live because of her prison ministry. I think when was all said and done she knew that would be the proper thing and that was to give her life for the 2 she took. Sad but 2 families still miss their loved ones after all these years too.
