Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) hit out at former President Donald Trump over his use of the term "kung flu" in reference to the COVID-19 pandemic and took to Twitter to connect the comments to Tuesday's mass killing in Atlanta.
he accused killer — 21-year-old Robert Aaron Long of Woodstock, Georgia — reportedly opened fire on Tuesday night at three different spas in the Atlanta area, killing eight people.
At least six of those people were ultimately identified as women of Asian descent.
Authorities arrested a 21-year-old suspect in connection with the murders, and police did not rule out the possibility of a hate crime.
What are the details? On Tuesday night, Lieu took to Twitter to remind the public that Trump used the term "kung flu" to describe the virus, prompting people to act discriminatorily against Americans of Asian descent.
"According to this report," Lieu wrote, "6 of the 8 murder victims in the Atlanta area mass shooting are Asian women. Was this a hate crime? We need more evidence. But we do know the alleged murderer targeted three locations where the victims would disproportionately be Asian women."
The Democratic lawmaker also shared a tweet from actress Mindy Kaling, who addressed the mass killing and blasted the "normalizing of anti-Asian hate speech in the past year."
She wrote, "The targeting of our Asian brothers and sisters is sickening, but not surprising given the normalizing of anti-Asian hate speech in the past year. We have to #StopAsianHate, enough is enough!"
In response to Kaling's tweet, Lieu wrote, "The former president used racist phrases like Kung Flu that inflamed discrimination against the Asian American community. Officials that continue to use ethnic identifiers in describing the virus are part of the problem. Please instead be a part of the solution. #StopAsianHate."
Oh, that’s right. It’s Trump’s fault.
The guy is killing sex workers because he hated himself for being addicted to them. The fact that most are Asian women may be because they were working in the massage parlors.
You know who hates Asians? Blacks. It’s well documented. You know who votes democrat 90% of the time? Blacks. Also well documented. So who’s responsible for anti-Asian violence? Democrats. Ted Lieu knows this but is too much of a coward to say it.

So much misinformation and speculation out there. Long told police that he murdered those people as a result of his sex addiction, and that race had nothing to do with it. He said that he wanted to eliminate temptation.

In the photo on the left, Long is wearing what young folks are calling a “man bun” on his head. His shirt is pink and black, and he’s wearing skinny jeans. See the character contrast between that and his photo on the right? Looks like he suddenly turned into a hipster. I suspect a recent drug involvement on his part.
He’s not carrying a rifle while exiting a massage parlor in the photo on the left, either. I’m guessing that he murdered those people with a pistol. Notice how long police and media tend to withhold suspected murder weapon info long enough in cases involving pistols to leave the population thinking more about rifles in light of the present gun control push. They allow those thoughts to get a little more cemented in many minds.
Drug abuse or psychotropic prescription drugs have been de-emphasized in many prominent cases, because drug abuse has been increasingly popular and common. And families tend to hide drug abuse that occurs in their families for legal reasons and other reasons.
This sad incident was a motivated by revenge by the sex addicted perpetrator. When apprehended he was on the way to Florida to shoot up a porn studio.
